Rated 3 out of 5★ by YouHaveMailGirl Not for beginners I like the song choices, most of them, anyway---but the chords are too advanced for beginners. 12/02/2009
Rated 5 out of 5★ by musicgir1 just what we were looking for They're right, this really is the ultimateChristmas fake book. It has a great blend of Christmas hymns, traditional favorites, and contemporary. Less expensive than the sax fake book and just as helpful. 11/30/2008
Rated 4 out of 5★ by ILoveMyKeyboard Fun to Play I am enjoying my music book, but seems it could have had more familiar songs. 01/04/2009
Rated 4 out of 5★ by TheOlMaestro Most of the tunes in one place I was hired to play a holiday cocktail music job, and needed one resource to play from. The price was fair, and it appeared to have most of the tunes I would use for this four-hour playdate. This book is extremely useful to a professional such as myself. There are numerous songs, sacred and secular, that you would expect to find ("Silent night," "The Christmas Song [chestnuts roasting]"), a few you wouldn't expect to find ("Silver and Gold" and "Holly-jolly Christmas" [from "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer"]), and a few that you probably don't need (I won't list them here). There were some glaring omissions, such as "White Christmas" and "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas," but I chalk those up to the logistical nightmare of acquiring rights. I give Hal Leonard Corporation credit for getting the reprint rights on so much music. One final reminder: This is a "fake book," which means you get a melody line, lyrics, and chord symbols, which assumes you have some skill at faking music from the given notes and chords. 11/28/2011
Rated 4 out of 5★ by msdckr very good collection of holiday music Wide range of holiday (Xmas) music including newer pop songs and standards. Of course all the standard liturgical ones are there, plus new pop charts. Will do a player well to have this during this holiday season. 10/17/2013
