Rated 3 out of 5★ by TRIAD4Evr Justice League "War" New-52 DVD Not For Kids! So this is the first in the "New-52" line of DC DVDs. It looks pretty good but it really lacks heart and is in _no way_ suitable for kids! The Good:Very nice-to-look-at animation. The "current" take on DC's core heroes that lines up with the "new" origins of these heroes in the "New-52" DC universe. Some interesting new takes on the personalities of the flagship DC heroes, in particular, it's nice to see The Flash not the comic relief jokester, and they have an interesting take on the somewhat alien nature of Superman and even more clearly the culture shock of a rookie Wonder Woman upon discovering such things as an ice cream vendor! The Bad:Swearing, and a fair bit of it! Probably not good for the younger viewers, especially those used to the "Timmverse" of JLU, Batman, and Batman Beyond, etc.Extremely brutal and violent action- you get to see somebody stabbed through the eye not once but twice and continue to run around still fighting, blood gushing from the eye socket! Definitely not good for the younger viewers!Superman seems to outclass everybody even more than usual. Makes me wonder why there even needs to be a team! And he's kind of a jerk!Summary:If you are a big fan of the "New 52" or like your heroes more like "The Punisher", you should consider picking this up. If you liked the heart and charm of the old Bruce Timm-oriented DC Animated Features, avoid this entirely. 03/09/2014
