When global warming triggers the onset of a new Ice Age, tornadoes flatten Los Angeles, a tidal wave engulfs New York City and the entire Northern Hemisphere begins to freeze solid. Now, climatologist Jack Hall (Dennis Quaid), his son Sam (Jake Gyllenhaal) and a small band of survivors must ride out the growing superstorm and stay alive in the face of an enemy more powerful and relentless than any they've ever encountered: Mother Nature.

This movie is the best I've ever seen.The graphics are great, the actors are verrry convincing.My favorite part is when the boys are going through the cabinets in the boat to look for penicillin and one guy finds it and says, "Guys, I think I found it!"Sam:" How do you know that's it?"Other guy:" Because it says penicillin on the bottle."That part always makes me laugh so hard!! 03/01/2008
Rated 4 out of 5 by PeteBB Excellent Graphics The graphics really makes the movie. Only a few scenes that appeared phoney.Mostly the acting was quite convincing especially the 'bit part' actors/actresses.Very little foul language.The Global Warming message should be heeded by all. 02/03/2008
