I'm 6'5" and 340lbs. I haven't had the bike for long yet, but it feels like it is built well. The bike sits nice and high and it is comfortable for a guy my size to ride without feeling cramped up.

I've had it a week or so and have about 5 rides on it. A few on the street and a couple off road, hills and trails. I'm not a hard core bike guy, just a dad wanting to get some exercise and keep it interesting. The set up was simple if you have basic mechanical aptitude, and it was ready to go in about an hour out of the box. The price tag, unbeatable for $300. I have a buddy who is the "Bike Guy" and I showed it to him. His reaction.... WOW, nice bike, you didn't mess around. Then I told him the price and I got it from Walmart and he was more than surprised, to say the least. The durability hasn't really been put to the test but I've crashed and so has my son, and it's still going strong. The only thing I can say that isn't positive is that I wish the front shocks were easier to adjust and not so soft. Other than that whining session, it is an awesome purchase!

I had this bike for about a month now, and I have to say you feel a huge difference between $100 bike and $300 bike, everything looks and feels better, and drives oh boy way better than $100 bike. Gears changing easily and with 24 speed you can't go wrong, from the hill you can reach 30mph or even more. Overall I'm happy with my purchase. Don't forget to buy a service plan as well, since parts for this bike aren't cheap.

Ok, here we go, to begin I want to let everyone know that I have over 20 years of experience with MTB'king, I have myself a 2013 GIANT TRANCE X 0 (you can do a little research on it if you'd like), I also have a 14 year old teen that I'm starting to train in MTB trailing, my issue was that he loves BMX but from BMX to MTB is a lot of difference in every aspect, riding, techniques, etc, for that reason I din't want it to spend to much $$ on a bike without him "Proving" he really like MTB and that he's actually going to make it a lifestyle (because biking, regardless style and type, IS a lifestyle), after many days of researching and looking around (craiglist, local bike shops, ebay, etc) every bike with good entry level equipment was going to put me in the $1,500.00 to 1,800.00 range (something that I was not going or was willing to do at this point) so, I got him this bike from Walmart and did a few changes on it, the bike, "out of the store" weighted over 40lbs, I got it on sale for $199.99, I did a TOTAL OVERHAUL on the bike, upgraded all the components listed below: Shimano DEORE Hydraulic brake system (M596): Levers and Calipers Shimano DEORE & WTB wheel set to 9 speeds Shimano DEORE XT disc rotors 180mm (from 160mm factory)(from my old bike) Shimano DEORE Rapid fire shifters 3x9 Speeds (M596) Shimano DEORE Front and Rear derailleurs 3x9 speeds respectively (M596) Shimano DEORE 9 speed rear cassette Shimano DEORE triple ring crankset, with Sealed Bottom Bracket (M596) Shimano HG Chain for 9 speed drive train Rockshock XC 28 TK Mg 29" front fork/suspension 100mm travel FSA Orbit sealed headset FSA SLK stem Giant Raiser MTB handle bar (from my old bike) Total cost of the parts was around $450.00-500.00 range, that brings the total of the bike to roughly $700.00, the bike now weight nicely at 32lbs, rides like a dream (I have use it myself in some occasions) so far it's been 4 months and the frame is still sturdy, takes quite a beating without complaint, granted is a total different bike based on all the changes I've done however, the same entry level bike that everyone was selling me for $1,500 to 1800 only cost me $700.00...again, if you know what you're doing this bike is optimal (for lack of a better word) for beginners and for people who are just looking for a "weekend bike ride" (even with the stock components), I will recommend though that if you are getting this bike to just ride it once in a while and not upgrade any components/parts, take it to you local bike shop for a tune up, they'll make sure the bike is running properly, shifting, braking etc, I said that because lets face it, I don't think "someone" in the warehouse in the back of the store is going to either take the time nor care if it's put together the right way. Hope that help everyone a little. KEEP RIDING!!!

I bought this bike about a year ago because I figured that it would be a good investment. I've put probably close to 200 miles on the bike. The suspension is quite stiff (with a 850 lb/in coil in the rear!) seeing as how there is no rebound compensation. The brakes are not very grabby but they keep from locking up and throwing you over the bars. Rim brakes would probably be more efficient however this bike does provide an excellent platform for upgrades. The only problem that I have had with this bike is the crank started wobbling (about a 1/4 inch of movement on either side of the spindle). Otherwise this bike is great. You can not find a better full suspension mountain bike in the sub-$300 range.
