Customer Product Reviews

Rated 3.6 out of 5★ by 43reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5★ by bikes looks very impressive and very clean After purchasing this bike, I took it straight to have everything "tuned up". Seriously, anyone can put a bike together, knowing how to adjust deraillers and get it to shift right is very important the first time around, had mine all tuned at $65, and everything has worked fine, I do have better bikes than this one, but if they are'nt set up right, they wont function correctly.I did switch the seat to a more padded Nelg zPatty custom seat, it rocks! Looks great with hair beads hanging from the handlebars. 11/30/2012
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Performs at the level of a $700 bike I bought this for my 30 year old 5'8, 230lb brother who recently got into bike riding after he broke the pedal off his 26 inch huffy bike. I wanted a bike that he was able to ride around, had a comfortable seat, had shocks and could handle a bigger guy. After looking at bicycles at various stores, I could not bring myself to pay $700-$1200 for a bike. I bought this from walmart and the three year warranty and I am very impressed and happy with the quality and performance of the bike. They put the bike together, at the Superwalmart in Fairfield, CA and the young lady who took us back to get it was pleasant and wonderful and even checke on us. The clerk who initiated the transaction was wonderful. Great bike!!! 04/18/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by The Range Rover Bike This bike is hands down the best bike I have ever owned. I've had it about 6 months now and I haven't had a single problem with it at all. The seat is slightly uncomfortable for long rides, but it really isn't that big of a deal. Me and my friends call this the Range Rover bike because it has such thick, massive knobby tires that allow for traction and are puncture-resistant and high ground clearance that it can go over anything with ease. Dirt may as well be pavement and thick, tall grass is a joke to this bike. Aside from the amazing durability and ability to go ANYWHERE on it, it is also a really cool looking bike. Right when you get it, its massive presence and cool styling make people look. Also, if you put a fender on the back of the bike, it looks like a giant dirt bike. So, all in all, buying this bike is the best $200 you can spend. 06/01/2013
Rated 1 out of 5★ by Not a Mountain Bike ! The components on this bike are too delicate for off-roading. It's really just a street bike with oversized, knobby tires. I crushed bearings and stripped the crank on Beginner Trails, and I'm an old dude. It looks nice and would be okay for pavement, I am just really disappointed it is (mis-)represented as a"Mountain Bike". 06/26/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Love this Bike I'm 52 yrs old and have not been on a bike since I was 16. I am 5'5" and this 29" is a fits perfect fit. Other than the seat which I will replace this bike is a joy. 01/05/2013
Rated 1 out of 5★ by Good bike, if all you want to do is look at it :( Assembler made some minor adjustments so I could ride it home. (stem alignment and inflated the tires)Next day I discovered the disc brake (although perfectly true and cable adjusted) would still rub on the outermost part of the disc. The brake caliper housing was adjusted all the way away from the disc and it still rubbed even without the cable attached. Also only 2/3 of the face of the brake pad actually touches the disc. The chain rubs on the back tire even when front and back derailleur are perfectly adjusted. The right pedal had been mis-threaded. (installers fault but he fixed it) Also the front wheel was hard to turn and the installer told me it was locking up but that he "freed it up". Also it took a lot of energy to ride this bike, it did not coast very long even after the wheel was "freed up", I bet the bearings are bad or just not good quality. I never took this onto an actual mountain but I had a hard time just riding it down the street. There are so many things wrong with this bike that could not even be fixed by an experienced tech because the parts seem to be mismatched with the frame. There are a few good things but the list of bad is a deal-breaker for me.Just get the Mongoose Stat instead, I love it! (same price /$220+tax), quality components, and lighter weight) I was a bit hesitant at first but I like the twist shifters on the Mongoose Stat, the front derailleur has trim adjustments and it shifts very solid. 08/15/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Great Very pleased. It took a bit to get used to the 29 inch wheels . I replaced the seat, put on a cruiser style. You should repack the wheel bearings with a low temperature lithium grease. I was concerned about finding 29 inch tubes, but Walmart got some, but the stems are a bit short and it is difficult to install , but still possible.I may replace the tires with 700c road bike tires in the future.I ride this bike to work 10 miles to and 10 miles back every day ! 06/16/2013
Rated 1 out of 5★ by not good I had to make a lot of adjustments to this bike before I rode it. Brakes didn't work. Handle bars were not square with the front tire.after less than 20 miles of use on limestone roads the chain keeps coming off the sprockets. when I shift down from 3rd it goes all the way to 1st gear. Making ticking noise as I pedal. Will be bringing this bike back to Walmart 06/16/2013
