Good Product I have only owned the bike for a few months now but I will say this. It is a better deal than the XR DH which is a bit more expensive. The only real difference is the the manufacture of the fork. I rode both Dart 1 that comes on the XR DH and XCM that comes on the XR Comp and they are the same, they only have dampening adjustment. The rest of the components are of very good quality and are the same as the XR DH. Very good price for the quality you get.I will upgrade the forks. 07/28/2007
don't buy i got this bike in the fall of 2007, got a hole in the inner tube. wal-mart don't sell the right inner tube, infact no one in town sells this inner tube. and i can't find one on the web. 01/17/2008
Good beginner bike I bought this bike about 5 months ago. I am new to mountain biking and wanted to see if I liked the sport or not. I am now average and can keep up with bikes that are more pricer. The front forks were squeking a lot so I tightened them up all the way. They don't squeek anymore. The rear shock made a squeeking noise to but after tightning them up they stoped too. I traded the SX-4 rear derailer to an SX-7. That made it improve a lot. Bought smaller tires because the ones that were on it were hard to find inner tubes for. Great Bike now. 02/13/2009
The Rave Ok you've heard the others.First the downs.The seat is up and down only, with no tilt, and it is hard. Add that as an expense, because you will want another one. No kick stand. The local BIKE shop had the inner tubes no problem, it is just Walmart that does not have the 2.35 wide size. But then I have not replaced them yet, so it is not a definite test. No extras on this bike. I clamp it to my old three bike clamp carrier on the BOTTOM bar! But that is right where some two mounting screws are for something, so as soon as I find out what that something is and use it, I will need a "girl Bar" to add so I can mount on the old carrier. No chain guards, no fenders, no carry basket front or rear, no bottle holder, or bike lock, or pump holder, or pump, or TV with DVD player.The UPSIDE.Every body is WOW about it. Looks are great. Now I ned to worry about it being stolen... oops that is downside... The click shifters are not like the old "you adjust" lever three and ten speeds. So have to get used to just push and click and back lever pull and click, plus what to do with all those 24 speeds.I plan on keeping this bike. It is to be the last bike I ever buy, but I have this and a 12 speed Fuji for highway.This is the top of the line at the lowest price.I got this bike because of the 2.35 wide tires, and I will need it for sandy miles of beach riding. 04/12/2009
