26" Men's Huffy Cranbrook Cruiser Bike, Champagne 3.8 5 118 146
Awsome Bicycle Just purchased this bike and it is the best! Just what I was looking for and awsome price. Very comfortable wide seat, very quiet and the looks are the best. I highly recommend the bike to everyone young and old. Thanks Huffy for another great bike. 04/08/2008
Quite good for in-town or casual road riding Frankly I'm surprised that a bike of this quality can be delivered for $84.For my purposes I needed a bike for in-town and short-distance (i.e. fewer than 25 miles) paved road riding; this bike seems to fit the bill quite well.I have to believe that when Huffy first manufactured the Cranbrook Cruiser bicycle, the initial model was found to be defective in some respects, and that Huffy quickly made improvements and simplifying corrections. I say this because the model I received (in July 2009) is both easier to assemble and more including of improved features than anything that one would suppose from having read the instruction manual. In fact, and in consideration of this, the instruction manual is itself the principal point of difficulty. Its contents do not reflect the simpler and improved components that come with the current model of the bike, nor the extensive factory pre-assembly that makes the buyer's own assembly requirements quite simple.(The buyer will need a set of wrenches -- including an Allen wrench -- and a Phillips-head screwdriver.)My suggestion is that the buyer generally ignore the instruction manual, execpt for following the order of assembly presented therein. The buyer should use the components that come with the bike, and disregard all references in the manual to other (and presumably precursor) components that are no longer needed. There are only about a half-dozen assembly steps required of the buyer (for most assembly seems to have been done at the factory), and those few steps are intuitive and straightforward. The only difficulty I encounted was that the front fender had been slightly dented during shipping. I found it necessary to use pliers to gently bend the fender back to its proper shape -- note if you do this, use cloth or cardboard between the pliers and the fender to avoid scratching the fender surface. Also, I found that the fenders fit about the tire somewhat "snugly", reqiring some adjustment of nuts to ensure that the tires did not rub against the fenders. That was the only aspect of assembly that I could cite as even a minor difficulty. In summary, then, I judge this Huffy bicycle to be an excellent purchase for my $84. 07/31/2009
I build "motorized bicycles" and this is about the best bike I have ever used to do one of my builds, I bought one just to use as a pedaler, and enjoy the hek out of it, good strong frame, very easy to pedal. 07/13/2009
