Item Description

The GMC Denali 700c Men's Road Bike is built around a lightweight aluminum road bicycle frame. As its name suggests, it is meant for typical road usage, such as plain commuting or racing. It features a slim wheel and a smooth tire that reduces the friction between the road and the tire. This GMC Denali 21-Speed Road Bike is equipped with alloy calipers and brake levers to make stopping smooth and precise. The rims of the X-Large GMC Denali 700c Road Bike are made of high-profile alloy Vitesse and perform as good as they look. A better aerodynamic position is possible with the lower hand position. Shimano Revo shifters allow you to shift without taking your hands off the handle bars, providing safety and confidence. A Shimano derailleur completes the road cycle drive train for quick and smooth gear changes. This GMC Denali 21-Speed Road Bike is a good entry level bike and is well worth the price.

Customer Product Reviews

Rated 4.1 out of 5★ by 186reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Worth every penny It has been a number of years since I rode a drop handlebar bicycle, so I did not want to spend $500 or $1000 on a new bike, just to lose interest. My last bike was a 24-inch frame, and this is a little bigger, but still fits well. It needs adjustment for the individual rider, and I am still in the process of doing that. There are a few minor issues, like wheels that are a bit out of true, a slightly bent arm on the front brake, and the bearings were too tight on the front wheel (I added a bit if extra grease, since they seem to be a bit stingy at the factory), but for the price it can't be beat. The black and silver paint makes the bike look more expensive than it is, with the main giveaway being the somewhat cheap and cheesy crank, which I took the outer plastic ring off of to make look better.Especially if you can do your own tune-up and proper adjustment, and you are 6'1" or taller, it is a great bike for the money. 06/21/2011
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Great Bike at a great price I read a LOT of reviews of this bike. Most were positive, some nagging about little issues.Yes, the breaks leave a little to be desired, however, I was able to tighten them a little and they work fine(youtube how to tighten brakes). The seat is not real comfortable. Guess what, no road bike seat is comfortable. In fact the most expensive, lightweight saddles are are nothing more than a thin layer of leather over a board. It will take getting used to and you will need padded shorts for any type of distance riding. The spin shift gears are great for me. I can easily downshift 4-5 gears at a time quickly which I like. I'm 6'2 inches tall. I debated on whether to get the XL or the large frame. The XL fits me perfect. You WILL NOT find a bike this cheap to get started riding. Do not expect a GIANT,TREK, or SPECIALIZED bike. If you want one of those, pay the $600-$1000 to get started. And to be honest, I rode a specialized my brother has, and there is no way I would pay $500 more to have a bike like that for what I do(which is riding 10-20 miles around my town, 2-3 times a week). Easy to put together(you will have to tinker with brakes and derailleurs but it is minimal), seems to hold up well and looks great. I would recommend this bike to anyone wanting to get started in road biking. 07/18/2011
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Good Bike for Workout The GMC Denali 700c 25" Men's Road Bike is how I though it would be; durable, swift and powerful. The interchangeable gears on the handlebars enable the rider to feel comfortable during steep hills and speed up in flat areas. This is a generic road bike that a bicyclist would enjoy to ride any day. For me, however, I will buy multiple parts to feel more comfortable such as a new seat and cages for the pedals. Everything else about the bike feels safe and durable and I hope it will be around for several years.(Wrench and Function Cycling Tool required to assemble bike) 06/29/2011
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Good bike for the money I have rode this bike just 6 or 8 times probably about 60 miles. Like it alot. I am 6'4'' and it fits me well. I put riser handlebars on it and a different shifter. Overall I am happy with my purchase. 08/15/2011
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Seat Height/Road Bike 25 inch Frame 700c GMC A 25 inch frame measures at 33 inches from pavement to the top edge of frame; the wheels measure 27 inches from pavement to top of rubber; the actual rim itself measures 25 inches; the total length of the bicycle is about 6 foot give or take an inch or two in either direction; from the top of seat to pavement is about 35 to 36 inches, the seat is adjustable to another 8 inches in height; to reach someone 6 foot 5 inches; from the lowest seat position to the lowest position on the pedal stroke is 30 inches; the reason this is important; is because your inseam will determine the right size bike to buy; measure your inseam, which should be identical to your pant size, from the inside of your pant leg to the crotch area.If your shorter than 5 foot 9 inches tall with a leg inseam of 30 inches; buy a smaller bike; these are the dimensions for an adult road bike with a 25 inch frame. 05/24/2012
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Good value for the money. I bought this size because I am 6"3" with a 34" inseam. The standover height was perfect for me. The bike cam with the rear wheel, brake, chain and derailleurs assembled which was a pleasant surprise. I had to assemble the head unit, seat and front wheel. Make sure you have some metric tools and metric Allen wrenches for the head unit and seat. Make sure you are comfortable adjusting brakes. If you owned a road bike before or put bikes together for your kids at Christmas (and in the dark) you should be ok. I have ridden this bike about 10 miles so far. The stock seat is very uncomfortable and I changed it out for a Bell seat on clearance at Walmart for $5. If you are looking to get into cycling or, just to get some exercise or like me you cannot run anymore, then this will get you into the sport without spending $800 or more for a road bike. 11/29/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by This bike has been all I have expected and more!!! I purchased this bike over the summer and havent been able to ride as much as I wanted but the times I have been on it I have only had minor problems that I would expect you would have with any priced bike that a qualified bike tech didnt put together. I havent had a bike since I was a child and I am 42 years old and wish I would have never stopped riding. I am still adjusting derailluers but thats because I love to work on my own bike but can just as easily took it to a shop and have a qualified tech do it but it is still rideable. The seat or saddle as experienced bikers like to call it is killing me and will change that soon. By the way I am 6'4" and weigh 295lbs. 12/25/2011
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Rider Height: The bike dimension calls for 6 foot 2 inches and taller, I'm 5 foot 9 inches; and the bike fit exact; change the recommendations from 6'2" and above; to: 5'9" and above; This is the 700c 25" GMC Denali; any shorter than 5'9", you'd be on your tippy toes; on its downward stroke, with seat at its lowest position, feet are flat on the pedal; so I'd rate it good; for my heigth, it my be excellent for a taller rider; for my heigth the pedal circumference was perfect; the ridability is OK; 05/19/2012
