Yuriko's alien discovery a Shi'ar vessel turns out to be a prison cell containing a voracious, gaseous prisoner, the Spirit Drinker (a possible reference to the id monster from the 1956 Sci-Fi classic, Forbidden Planet). It immediately sucks life out of Jubilee, Yuriko and her cohorts, the Reavers. After arriving with reinforcements, Professor X goes to the ship and learns more about what is going on while the rest of the team work towards preventing the Spirit Drinker from reaching the surface.
