Rated 4 out of 5★ by Good Buy SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED! Beware, bolts are cheap, and the allen heads will strip out! Go slow and try to not over tighten or you will have gaps and loose cross bars. The stools look great when done. Plugs cover bolt holes, dont tap them in too hard or they will be sunk in way to far. Also, dont use power tools to screw in bolts! They will strip out the cheap bolts! 11/09/2010
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Practical What can I say, its a stool. Its a very elegant and simple black stool which looks and feels like real wood. Its curved seat makes it comfortable to sit on. Since I have a small appartment, I bought it to use for my desk so that I could tuck it away under the desk when Im done. It helps keep the place looking neat and uncluttered. 08/05/2009
Rated 5 out of 5★ by What a value! My daughter wanted these bar stools for her new home. She shopped all over town and found this online product to be the best price. I ordered six of them for her birthday. I told her to only open one of them, in case they were not well made, as we didn't get to see the quality in person. Needless to say, the next time I went to her home, all six were assembled, and she was pleased. We were worried that the shorter model would be too short for her counter, but it was perfect for her children, and for adults to use as bar stools. They look terrific. 07/14/2010
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Great value, Great Product I looked all over for this type of bar stool and found several. This product looks exactly the same and cost way less than many I found in higher end stores. The bar stools fit perfectly under my island and look great! Everyone thinks I paid a ton of money! The assembly was easy and I had all three put together and in use in no time. 08/22/2010
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Great quality Great quality. My only issue was the blots that came with the stool. They give you all the hardwear to put the stool together,(which is great) but the tool to get the bolts in is an Allen key. I found that because the stool is real wood (another reason I like the stool) that even with the predrilled holes, I needed a lot of strength to twist the bolts all the way in. I ended up going and buyin bolts and drilling them in with a power drill. I don't think I would have gotten it together with out it. The Allen key just striped the bolts that came with it. 10/17/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Excellent value. Comparable to $60+ stools. Couldn't be happier! The surprising quality, finish (solid black, satin-ish finish), sturdiness, and ease of assembly of these stools was unexpected. This is after previously spending more than double the cost per stool for 4 other stools from a well known home decor store for lesser quality stools. I ordered 4 of these stools for site to store delivery and all 4 arrived together for pick up exactly one day earlier (on a national holiday, no less) than the earliest date projected for arrival. Each stool took about 5 minutes to assemble after the first stool was completed, which took about 10 minutes due to time spent reading the easy to follow instructions that are included. The assembly tool (allen wrench) that came with each stool bent easily under a strong hand (probably due to user-error) but was still usable. Assembly was easy and uneventful but having a strong hand around could be useful. The seat is 17" wide x 9" deep, and 1.5" thick. The width between the "front" legs outside to outside (at the top of the legs directly under the seat) is 13" wide, expanding out at the bottom to 17" wide. The narrow end at the top of the legs just below the seat measures almost 9", expanding out to almost 14" at the bottom of the legs. The highest footrest cross-bar is 7" from the floor to the top of the bar, and the lowest cross-bar is 4" from the floor to the top of the bar. The footrest cross-bars are solid and quite sturdy and not wobbly. The stool is exactly 24" tall to the top of the highest part of the seat, and just under 24" tall at the lowest part. The stool is comfy seating for counters that are 34"-36" high....depending on the size of the user, counters less than 34" high to the top could possibly cramp a large person's leg room, and counters over 36" high could feel sorta like sitting at high-chair level. Average weight users from 5' 4" to 6'+ tall can comfortably use the stool with the typical 34"-36" counter height. The "dip" of the seat looks a bit flatter in person to me than it appeared to be in the photo but still has a definite dip, and the seat was pleasantly longer/wider/sturdier than anticipated, making it a bit safer seating for my 4-7 year old grand kids than were the other stools I had. The black color is truly basic black and solid all over without any "rubbed" lighter tone areas. I've not had these long enough to see how the cross-bars hold up to heavy shoe traffic, but speaking from previous experience with stools, the solid black color makes any needed touch ups easy with a regular black marker. 09/08/2012
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Very nice stools I ordered 2, ebony/walnut, to etch a design and restain it. They worked great for my needs and the price was right. Its decent wood with a nice finish that hides any imperfections on the wood itself.Would definitely buy again.Have only put one together as shown in pic, the ebony is still flat packed. 09/25/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by good value! I didn't expect the stools to be as sturdy as they are, but I certainly wouldn't put a 400 pound man on them. They meet our needs perfectly and fit under our counter height bar. My husband put them together quickly with no cuss words! 05/19/2011
