Rated 5 out of 5 by MissApple Perfect Inexpensive Cruiser Bike for Tween Girls My daughter loves her new bike! She is almost 12 and wanted a cruiser bike, with coaster brakes and no fancy gears. The 26" wheel models are just too big for her and the 24" models seem harder to come by. I was pleased to see Walmart offer this bike for $88. It is exactly what she wanted at the price I wanted. Shipping was only .97 and since I live nowhere near a Walmart store, it was well worth it to have it shipped and assemble it myself. It arrived 3 days earlier than the projected arrival date. The bike comes somewhat preassembled. All you have to do is put on the fenders, front wheel, seat, handlebars, pedals and reflectors. Assembly is not difficult, but can take up to an hour if you haven't put one together before. If you decide you don't want to do it yourself, you can take it to Walmart and have them do it for you (call first to make sure they have someone available). The shipping box was slightly damaged upon arrival and the first thing I noticed after opening the box is that there were a few spots on the frame and fender where the paint got rubbed away. Hardly noticeable, but something to consider if you choose shipping rather than buying in-store. The bike itself is heavy and sturdy and seems like it will last a good long time. I'm now considering getting one for myself. 06/10/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Kackyw For an adult I am 53 years old and 4'-11" tall. In college, I had a custom-built 24" 5-speed. I haven't had a bike since then, but found out I will be needing one on my next vacation, for zipping back and forth across the campgrounds. This bike will be fine for that. I peeled off the decals and lowered the handlebar position, and now it looks a lot like the ladies' 26" Huffy. The paint is brighter but the trim colors are cool and retro. Now the minuses: the paint seems to scratch very easily. That's a quality issue and I'm very unhappy with that. Also, I would hesitate to use this bike for travel on the roads, because it is proportioned wrong for my build. For example, while I can sit on the seat and just reach the ground on tiptoe, My legs stay bent even in the fully extended position - not a strong position. I need a longer pedal crank. Another problem is that when I stand up to pedal uphill, I have to take my hands off the handlebar grips and move them to a less stable-feeling spot on the handlebars, no matter what position I try. But for 80 bucks and just tooling around camp, this bike is fine. 06/28/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by HomeschoolMomsRock Smooth & very comfortable My 9-year-old asked me to post a review. She says, "I would like to tell everyone that this bike is very pretty, and has a very comfortable seat. It rides smooth, and feels very well built, like it will last a long time." As her mom, I'd like to add that I love the retro styling. I test-drove the bike around the Garden Center at our Wal-Mart, and she's right -- it feels smooth & easy. The seat is soft and generously-sized, so you don't get a sore behind from riding it, like you do from so many of today's bikes...and you don't get sore shoulders because this bike lets you sit up straight. My daughter likes the coaster (pedal backward) brakes, because she doesn't have the hand length or strength to use handlebar brakes. I think I might get myself a 26" model for Christmas. 09/23/2012
