The setup was so easy! Besides having the most beautiful vintage-looking bike on campus, I have been so happy with the wide seat, it is SO comfortable, and the red rims give it a superb look. Its more beautiful than the girls red bike. I have gotten sooo many compliments on it, even from older folks, who are reminded of their vintage bikes. The price was incredible as well. I have not been able to find another bike at this price, for such a hot design. I am so happy I bought this bike. It makes a great gift as well!

This bike is exactly what I was looking for my grandson. They even put it together for us at no charge. It has a smooth ride with a seat large enough so that I can be comfortable. He has only had this bike about 2 weeks and so far he absolutely loves it.

My 10-year-old has had some minor physical development delays and finally learned to ride a bike in the past year! We looked at literally a hundred bikes, but he consistently found something he didn't like, until THIS ONE! He is too tall for a 22" bike and not large enough for a 26", so options are very limited. He didn't want gears or handbrakes as he finds them very difficult to manipulate, which narrowed the field considerably. The few bikes that meet this criteria are all over $250, which I didn't really want to spend when he will outgrow the 24" in 2 years. This bike was shipped very quickly and was easy to assemble. He has riden it every day for a month and is extremely happy, which makes Mom happy! Buy it!

Great for Petite People

I'm a petite 4'11" size and this 24" cruiser works just fine. Although it was challenging to find accessories for it. Like the rear bike rack. Found the rear rack on Ebay. Description says it's for a size 24" bike but it really was for a 26." The seat had to adjust all the way down so the reflector (underneath the seat) could not fit. However, there was an attachment for it on the end of the rear bike rack. The seat is nice and wide but not for long rides. Best to get a seat padding to cover it for long bike rides. The bike stand in the picture is not included. I found that at Incycle Bicycles in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Overall, easy to install. I ordered it delivered to my home, had my handy dad install it. Great for the price.

bought this bike for my grandson after searching high and low for a 24 inch wheeled bike. i have purchased him (ten years old) other bikes that had hand brakes and derailler shifting. children this age do not need those features and in fact they become problematic because children that age do not take care of equipment imho. funny how my daughter thought my grandson would be upset with a bike like this (cruiser style). when i delivered it to his house several other children were there and could not believe how great this "cool bike" was. i just hope that huffy continues to offer the cranbrook in both 24 and 26 inch sizes. the bike indutry seems to be pushing bikes with hand brakes and derailler shifting. i guess that is great for bike shops to keep fixing them. anyway, great bike at an affordable price.

I'm 5'4" tall and weigh 130lbs. Would this 24" bike be appropriate, or should I get a 26" bike instead?

  • A. I'm 5'6" and weigh 100 lbs more than u and what I like about this bike is it's seat will adjust down to the tire size of 24". I have short legs and this fits me fine, whereas a 26" which used to be good for me in my younger years is a hop up for me now. I would say it depends on your age and agility, if ur still young for years to come, go for the 26 if not go for the 24!

  • A. It's all about the length of your legs...and the size of the frame... Bike makers measure the vertical distance between the top of the bicycle seat post tube to the center of the crank. Most bicycle frames measure 18 to 22 inches tall. "Generally," a 17 inch frame is most comfortable for riders between 4'9"' and 5'6". An 18 inch frame is best suited for riders from 5'5" to 5'9". Over 6 feet a rider might have a frame size of 22 to 25 inches. However these numbers are not absolute as everyone has a different build and or length of their legs (in-seam). Each of us have our own special and unique body proportions that may alter what works or "feels" best to you. When determining frame size, do not be confused by wheel sizes (24, 26 and 27 inch etc.). Wheel size or diameters are independent of the frame size. As a result, you can find a shorter framed bicycle with larger wheels. Often, smaller sized bikes with 24 inch wheels do have shorter frame sizes, to accommodate younger (children or pre-teen) and or very shorter (under 5') riders. In addition, small diameter wheels will make the bike closer to the ground.

  • A. I am 5'1" and find it comfortable to ride. The best way to judge proper fit for a bike is if the seat is lined up with your hip while you are standing next to it.

  • A. I believe the 26" would be more appropriate. Both 24" and 26" are great looking bike and very sturdy, however make sure you check for damaged parts and get them replaced by huffy or return the bike to Walmart. You can see my review for this bike on my review page. Happy riding :)
