Salem's Designs is a cultural shopping experience that includes both contemporary and traditional pieces from Ethiopia. The crafts created come from skilled artists who spin cotton, weave grasses and hand embroider. Salem's Designs tells stories of Ethiopia as it courageously battled wars, bonded religions and empowered its people through artwork. Salem Kassahun, co-owner, manager and designer, operates out of her facility in Addis Ababa. She employs 40 women and 10 men.
