Customer has been confirmed to have purchased the item from Walmart.

Seems to be a great product for the price, so far the only complaint i have is the clearance for using the rotisserie is too small... i tried to do a turkey breast and it wouldn't clear the grill..so i would say the largest you could do is about a 4 lb chicken. the back and side searing burners are great.

While I've only slow cooked one rack of ribs on it, I'm very happy. I've assembled it & tested all the burners. The assembly went fairly smooth, could have had some more detailed pics but not a big deal. The quality seems very good and the features are fantastic. I have several grills & pellet cookers and was surprised that I was able to maintain a very consistent temp for several hours like my Rec Tec pellet grill. using the back sear burner to make indirect heat to make the ribs worked very well, just had to turn them every hour or so. If you are looking for a grill you can use to cook in a wide variety of ways, this one seems like a winner. I'm writing this review now & once I have a few months on it I'll be back to follow up on it. For now, I have to say, this seems like a full featured, quality, versatile grill. I would highly recommend this grill if you want a lot of grill for a little money. BTW you have to hold the back sear burner knob in to ignite it, that little note can go unnoticed in the manual.

Disappointed in Grill

The Better Homes and Gardens gas grill model GSF2818KL has a problem that really disapoints me. The unit is constructed with stainless steel components, but a grade that rusts. I have had my grill 2 years and the main burners, main burner supports, heat plates are rusted out. I notified the warranty people 3 weeks after the 2 year warranty ran out. Because I missed the warranty by 3 weeks they offered, as a courtesy, to replace the three $21 burners at half cost and other components at retail cost. The components are not available in other materials which are higher quality. My total repair would come to roughly $80 to $100. The question is how long would the replacement parts survive. Other internal metal parts have good areas and rusted areas. Don't know how long the entire internal metal will last. Walmart had a very good price for the grill. However, the stainless steel components that are subject to high heat and possible corrosion (rusting) needs to be a 316 grade which does not rust. This is my first gas grill. Perhaps all of them listed as stainless steel have this problem. The stainless steel cooking grills are in like new condition. I like the grill. Just disappointed in the problem at hand.

The best grill I have ever owned

I've had this grill for about five months and have cooked on it almost every night since owning it. I've cooked roasts and whole chickens on the rotisserie, and after learning how to use the searer, have produced some of the best steaks I've ever tasted. I bought a stainless grilling basket and have grilled vegetables to just the right tenderness and the big side burner puts out enough flame to easily fire up a wok. I even make pizzas using a pizza stone. Instead of storing the gas bottle inside, I store it on the right hand side under the burner extension. That allowed me to put a shelf inside the cabinet and store such things as pots, grilling baskets, and other cooking paraphernalia. I also keep a small stainless wood box on the grill filled with wood chips to add that slight, smoky campfire taste to any grilled cooking. I didn't want the left hand extension and it was easy to leave it off. Doing so did not affect the integrity of the grill's assembly. Almost every piece of this grill is made of stainless including the firebox, heat deflectors, flame tubes, and very heavy duty solid round bar grill grates. The black enameled (is it porcelain?) polishes to a high luster and the temperature gauge is accurate and easy to read. When cooking on the grill you have your choice or at least four heat zones. The searer produces extreme to just plain high heat. The standard three burners, when turned to full on, produce three heat zones, The zone along the front edge of the grill is the coolest and gets hotter as the food is moved to the rear. It makes selective cooking at different temperatures a breeze. Chicken thighs can be moved from the higher heat area in the back to the front where they will finish off at a slower cooking level or you can put a row of burgers on the back, cook them on one side, flip them, and then move them towards the front to cook them inside. After 150 days of cooking on the grill, the heat deflectors have turned dark on top and the burner tubes have become discolored. The heat deflectors do catch food and I clean them about once a week. The large tray at the bottom of the cook box removes from the rear and I empty it about once a month. I use a stainless brush on the grills and wash them once a week, along with the deflectors using soap and water in a plastic mortar tub that you can buy from a home improvement store. One of the reviewers complained about the stainless rusting. I could see that being a problem if one were to leave the deflectors, flame tubes or other parts of the grill clogged with food waste and drippings, and then not use the grill for a while. The collected gunk would collect moisture and the "stainless" would probably start to break down. And yes, there is stainless made that would withstand the constant heating and cooling along with disuse and moisture. However, with regular use and some appropriate cleaning, I would expect even these parts to last a very long, long time. By the way, the infrared burners clean themselves. Just turn them on full blast for five minutes and anything stuck them will be turned to ash. This grill is a steal. $1,000 Webbers don't have the features this grill has. As you can tell, I"m a big, big fan and no, I don't own any Walmart or BHG stock!

Excellent Value For The Money

It's not very often that you find a grill at a price that gives you some great features. Stainless steel burners, stainless steel grates, infrared searing station and rotisserie burner with a rotisserie included, a side burner, and overall construction of stainless steel and painted steel. Getting used to the grilling was easy with figuring out that the inside toward the back is hotter than the front. No big deal as you rotate your meat from the back to the front zone as needed. Some people might gripe that it's not uniform heat but you have to remember that this is a $350 BBQ grill. I took the advice from another reviewer and purchased stainless steel replacements for the nuts and bolts before assembling. Now here's the kicker. I was so impressed with this grill at this price point that I purchased a second one for the long term. I know nothing lasts forever and I highly doubt that when this grill fails years from now that I would be able to find an equal replacement for the money.
