better than taped I've been watching this mini-series from a TV-to-tape - including all the commercials. When I saw this for less than $6, I couldn't resist. Great show, beautiful music score, engrossing.The only disappointment was there wasn't much in the way of behind the scenes footage. 01/29/2009
Hard to find in stores I've been looking for this DVD for a couple years and I finally found it on Walmart.com and I was pleasantly surprised at the price as well. As with all my online orders, I did the site-to-store and again it came with its usual quickness (2-3 days) instead of the 7-10 days stated on the website. An awesome mini-series! This is the sequel to the Sci-Fi Channel's mini-series of the original Dune. This story actually picks up in Dune Messiah, the 2nd book and continues to the 3rd, Children Of Dune. The casting is superb, the storyline top-notch and the action non-stop. If you have not seen the orignal Dune mini-series see it first. This is not the other Dune movie which is bogged down and tedious. Done in a mini-series format, the storyline is captured in more detail. The relationship between the twins (16 years old in the mini-series and not 9 like in the book) is vividly displayed. I loved the special effects and would highly recommend this to any fan of sci-fi. 10/02/2008
