  • A. yes, there is a little wire on the side in a little compartment. You plug it into the remote control. Says to charge it for 15 minutes and then afterwards leave it for 10 minutes before flying it. It also says if its not flying good or doing what you want, then it needs to be charged and that is the truth. Once it's charged up, it flys good. My 7 year old loves it as does my husband. Good buy. very durable. It's been crashed into tables and outside in the snow and it still flies good.

  • A. Yes, you must use a full set of fresh batteries in the remote. There is a hidden cable that plugs into the helicopter. Start with both off, plug in then switch the remote to A and the charge light will flash.

  • A. Yes. There is a small compartment on the back of the controller that slides off and there is a tiny cord inside. This cord gets plugged (carefully) into the bottom of the helicopter in a very small unlabeled hole. The helicopter should be in the "off" position and the controller in the "on" position. The controler has a red LED light on the front that will blink until the helicopter is charged. Once the light goes out you are ready to fly! Charge is good for about 10 minutes of flight. Good luck

I have the cable but not sure what should be on or off and how long. No indicator light came on with the helicopter. Should the remote and helicopter both be in the off position?

  • A. Helicopter off. plug in the charger THEN turn from off to A. The charge light will then show correctly.

  • A. According to the instructions, turn the chopper off and insert the charging cord. Flip the remote to A, B, or C and the light will start flashing. After about 45 min to an hour the light will stop flashing. Unplug the chopper and turn off the remote. If you leave the chopper plugged in, after about 10 minute the remote will go into a sleep mode but unplug to get the most out of the charge. Also replace the batteries that come with it with all new batteries. Do not mix battery types. The batteries that come with it are junk and will not have enough power to charge to full capacity with mixing batteries. I also use the rule to always run the chopper out completely and charge up to its fullest. I also will charge up, wait awhile and try charging again. This will help extend the battery life and keep it from getting a memory and only getting a minute or two out of the charge rather than 5-6 min.

  • A. The charging cable, contained inside a small compartment on the controller, goes into a tiny hole on the bottom of the helicopter next to the on/off switch. The helicopter should be in the "off" position and the controller in the "on" position. The red light on the front of the controller will blink until the helicopter is fully charged and then will extinguish. Hope this helps.

  • A. First...read the instruction sheet carefully and fully. The sheet covers the "how to" very well. The controller must be ON and the helicopter must be OFF to charge. The controller LED will flash red when charging. It takes 45 minutes to charge, if the helo is low. Once charged, the controller LED will become solid red.

  • A. Helicopter should be OFF and the remote should be ON, doesn't matter witch band. The light on the remote will flash while charging, and about 10 minutes after it is charged it will turn off.

I bought this for my 5 year old son (ok, and myself but don't tell anyone). We charged it as recommended and paired the heli with the controller. After some initial trimming, we were flying all around the house. My son quickly mastered the heli, something I was concerned about. Pretty soon, he was landing it on my pool table and IN MY HAND!!!. Here's the rub. I went through 6 batteries in the controller the first day because the heli charges off the batteries in the controller, not a USB. That's quite expensive. The next morning (this morning), the first thing my son did was to continue flying the heli. After the first flight of the morning, and subsequent charging, the heli would not pair with the controller. I have tried everything I can think of. Turning off both heli and controller, changing batteries... again, looking online for answers, but nothing. I will be taking this back to Wal-Mart for a refund. I have ordered a different heli that charges via USB. Hope it works out. I would spend a few more bucks and get a better heli if I were you.

Within the first few minutes of flight, this helicopter went straight up and hit a very fast moving ceiling fan. The fan abruptly stopped the bird and proceeded to violently smash it against a wall. I thought..... there goes 25 bucks.. I picked up the helicopter, did a quick inspection and found it to be unharmed. It continued to operate flawlessly.

I decided one day that I wanted a remote control helicopter, and decided to go with this one because it was the least expensive. Well, that got me hooked. This helicopter is easy to fly, and only took me a couple minutes to master the basics. The controls are responsive enough for me to want to setup an obstacle course, and chase the dog around the house as well. You can also fly up to three helicopters at the same time! The helicopter is fairly durable and has let me crash it around the house a number of times without any damage. It has a few downsides to it though. It lasts a few minutes, and takes about an hour to charge. You can't fly it outside at all because it uses an infrared transmitted (like your remote control) so the sun will disrupt your signal. Even with the shortcomings, I would recommend this helicopter to anyone that is interested in trying out a remote control helicopter, or for beginners in general. Its low cost makes it worth the try, even if you're worried about damaging it. The only caution I would give you is that it may prompt you to buy a higher grade RC helicopter, and then you've got a new hobby!

I have able to fly around the Helicopter with no problems, worked great. As soon as I tried to train my daughter to fly it, she crashed it on the first try and top prop balancer flew off. Now this is user error, but it broke too easily. I contacted the manufacturer for replacement parts and they don't carry any replacement parts. So it's basically just a hand toy now.
