Joel C. Rosenberg graduated from Syracuse University in 1988. He writes both fiction and nonfiction books. His fiction works include The Last Jihad, The Last Days, The Copper Scroll, Dead Heat, The Twelfth Imam, and The Tehran Initiative. The Ezekiel Option was named by the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association as the Gold Medallion winner of the Best Novel of 2006. His nonfiction works include Epicenter and Inside the Revolution. He is also a communications strategist and has worked with Steve Forbes, Rush Limbaugh, former Israeli deputy prime minister Natan Sharansky, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
He writes commentaries for National Review as well as a weekly e-mail update known as "Flash Traffic" for business and political leaders. His title Implosion: Can America Recover from Its Economic and Spiritual Challenges in Time? made The New York Times Best Seller List for 2012.
In his third outing (after The Twelfth Imam and The Tehran Initiative) Iranian-born CIA agent David Shirazi has infiltrated the jihad ist regime in Iran. Although Israel has successfully launched a first strike, destroying Iran's nuclear sites, two Iranian warheads have survived. David moves quickly to find the surviving warheads before the Twelfth Imam can launch a retaliation and bring about full-scale war.
Verdict: Rosenberg delivers another tense political thriller with elements torn from today's headlines. Its quick plot, which has lots of twists and turns and suspenseful action, makes it a good choice for fans of Jerry B. Jenkins, Brad Thor, Vince Flynn, and Ben Coes.

All eyes are on the Middle East. Israel has successfully launched a first strike on Iran, taking out all of their nuclear sites and six of their nuclear warheads—and causing The Twelfth Imam to order a full-scale retaliation. U.S. President William Jackson threatens to support a U.N. Security Council resolution condemning the Jewish State for unprovoked and unwarranted acts of aggression.
Meanwhile, CIA operative David Shirazi has infiltrated the Iranian regime and intercepted information indicating that two Iranian nuclear warheads survived the attack and have been moved to a secure and undisclosed location.
In danger not only from the ongoing missile strikes on Iran but also from the increasingly hostile and suspicious governments of multiple countries, David and his team are in a race against time to find the remaining nuclear warheads before disaster strikes.
