More than 20 Porter songs grace this tale of triumph and tragedy, with Jane Wyman, Mary Martin and Eve Arfen providing vocals and verve. "The Bachelor And The Bobby-Soxer" (1947) Richard Nugent (Grant) is a lady's man "sentenced" to date a love-besotted teen (Shirley Temple) by her sister (Myrna Loy), a judge. Grant adopts the era's teen lingo, flub-foots through picnic races and clears one comedy hurdle after another in this irresistible Oscar(R) winner. "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House" (1948) New York adman Jim Blandings (Grant) says goodbye to his cramped city apartment to build a home in Connecticut.
