Rated 5 out of 5 by njcupcake Great tent for craft show
Just used this for my first craft show and the tent was perfect. I also purchased the sun wall to block the back of tent. Easy for 2 people to put up and take down..less than 15 minutes. It is heavy and although the carrying case has wheels they don't roll over pebbles very well in stone parking lots so I carried it. It arrived at my house, with free shipping, in 2 days. Very pleased with this purchase.

Use this on the 4x4 beach in Brigantine, NJ. Works great as it should. The opening at the peak of canvas helps it not become a big kite and allows wind to pass through it. Just make sure to bury the legs or use spikes. Also leave the canvas on when closing and just fold up and place back in holder. Works great!!

I attended an event that I had to fly to. I bought this from Walmart online and had it shipped to the location. So the first time I saw it was when I had to set it up. I hoped for the best... and I pretty much got it. It went up easy enough and looked just fine. As luck would happen, I got to test its sturdiness on Day 1!! A huge wind storm came through. I decided to leave it up. I lowered it to its very lowest setting (just a few feet from the ground) and used the included cord to tie down each corner. In the morning, it looked no worse for wear.
It does feel a bit wobbly and someone else had a Coleman tent that was very similar but had a nicer height adjustment method. Nice, but not necessary. This one is just fine.
Nothing super-special. But for the price, its perfectly good for most situations I can think of.
Incidentally, I knew ahead of time I wouldn't be able to take it on the plane (it is slightly too large and a $100 fee would apply) so I sold it at the event for $80. I had three people lined up to take it so I'm sure I could have gotten more. Anyway, I won't be able to follow up with a long-term review as I know longer have it.

Just recently purchase this canopy and it was a breeze to set up! It only took 2 people to do it and it took all of 10 minutes to get it up, put the cover on it, and steak it. I also purchased the screen attachment which was also an easy set up and it does fit pretty close to the canopy cover and does an excellent job keeping the bugs out. Mosquitoes are a serious problem where I live so I love it :) Also great pricing on both items!!!
Rated 5 out of 5 by BellaPhx Very nice canopy
This is a great canopy. Easy to set up, well made, and secure. It has made it through two Phoenix dust storms so far and still standing strong.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Willy007 Sturdier than expected
Canopy is super easy to install and take down. Left canvas on frame after initial setup. Made our trip to the beach very enjoyable. Buy wide 12" stakes for anchoring into the sand and 10'x9' tarp for a side shield from the morning and evening sun.

I am familiar with and have used the First Up brand canopy that Wal-Mart used to stock, so my compairson and review is really based on the difference between the two. I thought this Ozark Trail canopy was good, but not the best. It did protect us from the hot sun for several days on the beach just as every other canopy I have ever used. It is built just as sturdy as most low cost canopies I have seen/used. However, I believe the First Up brand was better for the following reasons.
First, the bag this Ozark Trail canopy comes with is not well built and requires you to insert it from one end rather than having a zipper that opens the entire bag up as the First Up brand had. Our bag ripped on the first use.
Second, the latches that lock the canopy open are more difficult to deal with. My wife didn't have any trouble with the First Up latches, but couldn't always get the Ozark Trail latches to lock into place. It does take more energy to latch it open.
With that said, the canopy is a good value and well worth the money. It does its job well and it appears that it will last a long time. It is fairly light weight, but sturdy.
Rated 4 out of 5 by barkergirl I use this canopy in the outdoor play area at my large dog day care business. Only been using it a week but did have strong winds the other night and it was fine. Looks good and easy to put up.
Rated 5 out of 5 by helpfulliving Easy to put up, looks good, keeps the sun and rain off. What more could you ask?
Rated 5 out of 5 by zulasmom i researched alot on all the different kinds and sizes of tents. This tent by far received the best ratings of all the tents so we decided to try it. It works great - we take it camping and to our sons soccer games. The straight legs make it sturdier than the slant leg tents and when you stake it down you can just lower it down if it gets really windy, no need to take it completely down.

The picture and description do not fit the actual item -- this canopy is Beautiful!! I am using it on my deck and it has deflected the hot sunrays from the back of my home and actually has a cooling effect inside my home. I purchased the optional mesh curtain and the setup is great. Unbelievable!!, spacious and a great addition to my home.

It has a sturdy frame, easy to put up.
Rated 5 out of 5 by johnt313 5 Star... Easy to set up and very sturdy!
I was impressed with the solid construction.. The legs and feet are good solid metal yet pretty lightweight. First time set up took my wife and I about 15 minutes because of positioning the fabric on top. After the initial setup it takes roughly 10 minutes or less to set up or break down. A couple of nice features that I wasn't aware of until I received mine are; 1) the legs actually have three height settings. 2) the canopy comes with it's own zip up bag that has nice big wheels like on a suitcase. I would highly recommend this canopy for the price!
Rated 5 out of 5 by NicknamesAreWorthless Great value
Worth the price. Seems to be much heavier-duty than the canopies costing $20 less. Heavier-duty topper, legs, and hinges. Legs adjust to 3 heights, about 10" difference between lowest extension and highest. Should last for years.

It's like having a whole other room on my deck. I love it!
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bob224 I am so happy with this, it is so cool and can't wait to get the other attchments. This worked so good, put up by myself and been through a rain storm with wind gust of 17 mph+ and no problems.
Rated 4 out of 5 by DoctorJ99 works fine
Legs are not the most sturdy when fully extended, which would account for some of the failures reported in windy conditions. So, if there is a mild wind, good idea to secure the legs and use the cords to tie down the top. If wind is moderate, probably best not to fully extend the legs. If you want to leave it up overnight or longer, lower the legs and anchor them with the anchor pins (provided) and/or weigh down the feet with a brick or two., and re-secure the top with the cords. This lower profile will better withstand wind gusts. With the legs in the lowered position, you can still actually crawl under and sit underneath. Kind of cozy, but you can't see much. But then again, others can't see much of you.

I replaced a worn out first-up canopy with this one. It looks just like my old one. Hope it last as long.Super easy to install. Thanks for great products at low prices.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Divinman2 Works better than the First up I purchased 2 yrs ago. as in easier to put up and down. we use these for our concessions and work great for our needs.
Rated 4 out of 5 by FishgearTX Great canopy for outdoor craft fairs and such.
Easy to put up for 1 person. Stands up to medium strength winds. Great low cost canopy.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Herdmaster I previously owned a Frist Up canopy. This is identical. Now have 2 for more space. would recommend to others as it is a great product and value.
Rated 4 out of 5 by capnTJ excellent value
This is the second one of these I've purchased, the first one lasted through ten months of continuous use. The So. Texas sun eventually degraded the fabric top to the point of disintegration but the frame held up to the strong wind and rainstorms without any problems. I purchased an extra canopy (fabric) this time so that I'll be ready when this one dies. If you intend to leave it set up as I do, then you'll need to be sure that its properly tied down and anchored in order to aviod damage from high winds. I have the legs bolted to my concrete patio and guy lines on all four corners. Even with the extra canopy this setup costs less than most of the "Event tents" with full truss roofs that WILL blow away in a wind storm or collapse under heavy rain. Maybe not so fancy looking but worth the price.
Rated 5 out of 5 by TekkSavvy Great durable canopy, quick set up and take down
My husband bought 2 of these canopies four years ago, in blue, to shade our church youth group's bake sale. Since that time, we have used them for numerous social events and camping trips, and they are still going strong. We are extremely happy with our purchase and would highly recommend them to anyone.
Rated 5 out of 5 by walmartshpr5656 Great Canopy!
I bought this canopy a few years ago for a great sale price at my local Walmart. I have used it in total about a 1/2 a dozen times. It is super easy to put up (I've done it by myself a couple times) and sturdy. Compared to some other canopies with a higher price this one seems to be a better buy as it comes with the rope tie downs integrated into the canopy on their own seams. I've had this canopy up in my yard for the past week in preparation for a wedding reception and we've had winds from 10-25mph and my canopy has not budged! I have it sitting on top of my concrete patio and the only anchoring system is the tie downs being wrapped to my fencing. The other canopies I have borrowed for the event have been affected by the wind and have moved around some. I hope it continues to hold up for as long as it has. This was a great buy and I'm trying to buy another but it's been out of stock for a while! Please re-stock it Walmart!
Rated 5 out of 5 by vfdowner Excellent Canopy - especially for the price
For a canopy in this price range, one would expect flimsy aluminum supports and for damage on the first use. We had the exact opposite experience. This canopy has a heavy and strong frame that lasted with no problems. We used it on a relatively windy day and there was no indication of failure. the vent in the top is a great feature and something you would not expect for this price, but it helped not only keep the canopy cooler, but also kept it from becoming a wind sail. this is a little bit of a pain to put up with 2 people, but I still can't complain - went up in a couple minutes, but is much simpler with 4 people (of course this is the case with any canopy).
The availability of accessories is another big plus - the fact that I can come to walmart.com or go into a B&M store and purchase side panels and other accessories is a big part of my initial decision to purchase. I can buy the canopy at a reasonable price and then easily add additional parts as I see fit. I have not purchased any accessories to date, but I probably will over time.
Rated 4 out of 5 by RSMango Inexpensive, good quality product
Fast and easy set-up. 1 person can easily set up in 15 minutes. 2 people can knock it out in minutes.
I only used this once but am happy with the quality and value
Rated 5 out of 5 by mintonthepillow Everyone else on the beach was jealous!
We bought this a couple of weeks ago before we went to the beach, and we've already gotten our money's worth out of it. It was much nicer than the rental umbrellas, and our family (2 couples plus 2 kids) was all able to easily fit under it, along with assorted coolers, boogie boards, etc. It took about 2 minutes to put up and take down each day, and has a wonderful design. After reading other reviews, we bought a pack of 10 inch plastic stakes (best $4 we've ever spent - look in the camping section), and used them instead of the metal stakes that came with the tent, and they held the tent very securely, even in a stiff breeze. We also made sure that we aligned the vents at the top of the tent with the wind. We saw more than one tent/umbrella get blown over by the wind while we were there, but our tent never budged. We would definitely recommend this tent!
Rated 5 out of 5 by pacademan I bought one summer 0f 2011 , and used it many times with NO problems. It really helps with providing shade & keeping it a little cooler under the canopy.
Rated 5 out of 5 by 196419619 stake it down well as high winds will blow it away
Tie it down or lower it down to the ground when winds are comming your way.Or it will be in a crumppeled mess like it happend to us last year. on our first one we had bought.
