I purchase this juicer to replace a Jack Lalanne power juicer pro stainless steel model. That one was the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned. It was noisy. vibrated badly, wasted a lot of produce, leaked all over my counter, and was most difficult to clean. The Cuisinart CJE-1000 is the exact opposite. This machine exceeds all expectations. whereas the power juicer died on the third use, the Cuisinart is going strong twice a day. The machine is quiet, does a great job juicing (very dry pulp ) and cleans in about four minutes. The machine is very stable with no detectable vibration, whereas the power juicer pro actually did a dance on my counter leaking juice as it went. If you are looking at the power juicer pro, stop and look at the Cuisinart CJE-1000 you will be much happier. I also purchased the three year extended warranty, I can't rate that at this time as I have not had to use it. Hopefully I won't have to.

I have used almost every type of juicer known to man. I recently compete completed a 43 day juice feast. I was surprised how fast they shipped from Walmart.com. I bought a refurbished one which was in mint condition and everything included was in the box. the first thing that I noticed about this juicer is how quiet it is. I juiced all whole bag of apples without cutting them in less than five minutes. it's very easy to clean and I love the no drip spout. I have used every type and brand of juicer out there in this is by far the best. I say run out and get them while you can they're not going to last long.

This product looks beautiful on my kitchen cart. But, it works exceptionally well and produces the juice you look for in stores but can never find. There is no better way to start your day then with fresh, healthy juice. This is a very powerful product with 1,000 watts of power. This is no sissy equipment, it is meant for foodies that care about quality and a consistent usability of their culinary equipment. Remember that cooking is love, love is cooking and to love to cook with this Cuisinart Juice Extractor, CJE-1000 is the peak of a cooking experience.

    • A. Yes. I've juiced kale, spinach, broccoli, etc.

    • A. Absolutely. This is one of the best juicers on the market. I just love mine. I know of 3 other people who have the same model and all of us have had great results with the particular model. You can juice just about anything in it, with the exception of bananas and peaches. They clog the juicer because there isn't any juice in the bananas and peaches have very thick pulp. Good luck.

    • A. Yes, it can juice greens. I do kale a lot and a bit of spinach. The slow juicers do a much better job getting more juice out of greens, like the Omega's, the verticals are nice, but the auger style really do the best. As you probably already know, those masticating juicers are much more costly. Good luck getting your juicer!

    • A. Yes, beautifully - I use kale all the time with mine. I do trim the stems nd just use the leaves. There is a good bit of fiber that remains in the collection bin after extracting. I feel bad throwing it away, but it can be composted or, depending on the vegetables used, added to stock for soup. You'll love the extractor!

    • A. I juice greens with no problem. I recommend you squeeze (pack them) in your hand instead of dropping loose leaves in your juicer. That way they don't just get thrown into the trash bucket.

I have been researching Juicers online and have found there is a marked difference in Centrifugal vs Masticating juicers. None of the descriptions on Walmart.com specify the type. Can anyone tell me what type this juicer is?

    • A. Centrifugal, for a Masticating Juicer look at Omega juicers. Keep in mind while they are better at leafy greens, and other harder to juice fruits/veggies, they take alot longer, however the quality is better and more nutrutional.. its a tradeoff really. The biggest benefit is more yield from ingredients, and a juice that will keep longer.
