Customer Product Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5★ by 1reviewer.
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Uncut dream sequence, Freda's Giallo swan song The english dubbed version on this disc is incomplete as were all vhs releases in the U.S.A. (a.k.a. "Fear") The dubbing is out of sync, often ahead or behind the actors lips by a split second. I couldn't watch it. However, the original languge subtitled version is excellant. The sound is robust enough that I had to turn it way down compared to other films. Crystal clear picture with little film grain and vibrant colors, even dark scenes revealed more detail than ever. And the uncut dream sequence features a black mass ritual with a real chicken being sacrificed. With more instances of nudity and gore throughout. Laura Gemser, the black 'Emmanuelle' looks ravishing. Enough red herrings, kitchen sink plot approach and a twist ending to please any murder mystery fan. A testimony to the Italians superiority of the genre in the 70s and 80s. Oh, a little bonus book is inserted with a history of the film, director, principal players and stills. 12/03/2012
