The bike comes mostly assembled. You just put on front tire, seat, oedals and bars. Took maybe 20 minutes.

you have to put it together yourself and it is really easy to put together

The store will assemble it for free, However its easy enough to do it yourself and youll know its done right. The only things that need to be assembled are the front tire, handlebars and seat.

Nope. You can ride this solo easily,but the side part is welded to the frame.

The sidehack does not unbolt from the bike frame. They are welded together... Ride it with nobody on it... Just be ready for the questions, looks and stares from people on the street.

Is it possible to just ride the bike itself?

A sidehack, ridden by 1 or two people in a straight line does indeed not require balance. However, turning this requires coordination of pilot and rider. A sidehack is not for people who are unable to ride a two wheel bike. I believe these are intended for trick riding and racing.

This is the most FUN we have had on a bike in a long time. Took it to our local BMX track River Valley BMX & every one was riding it. I am going to have to get anther one soon. Here is a pic from the Great Northwest Nationals. & yes it is all stock & took 2ND :~)

OMG 2 much FUN

This bike is like a trophy! Once put together, it's almost too clean to ride, lol. The box is huge & packaged very well! Big props to Greyboy, TrulyOdd & the crew.

Everything about this bike exceeded my expectations. If you're looking at this bike, you already know. I feel lucky to get one before SOLD OUT...again.

HACK ALL DAY

Overall I was very satisfied with what I got for the price. The bike came shipped with no problems and almost fully assembled. As a bike mechanic, I was actually surprised at how dialed in and solid it was. There has been a slight break-in period with normal adjustments, like brakes, headset, etc.

A few things that Walmart doesn't tell you about this bike that you might want to know before you buy:

Weight limit is 350 lbs total
Headset is 1" threaded
Cranks are 3 pc forged, unsealed BB
Comes with gyro
Wheels are 48 spoked, single walled, unsealed
Frame, forks, bars, etc are hi-ten steel

This bike would NOT hold up if you took it to the skatepark or tried jumping or grinding with it. It flexes quite a bit when I ride it with a monkey so both the pilot and the monkey would have to be pretty light for it to hold up over a long period of time.

Honestly though, for the money you are getting what you pay for. The bike isn't high performance, but you're not paying a high performance price. I bought the bike to goof around on with my kids and so far we have loved it and have no complaints. Buying it through walmart.com was also really easy and I actually preferred it to ordering through a bike shop.

Fantastic

the product is good, but box was damaged upon pick up, there are some dent and scratches on the bike due to transport. my kids and i have a blast! a little tricky to assemble specially the brakes.

My boys (age 10 and 13) love their new side hack bike. They saw it on Fantasy Factory and HAD to have one. I soon discovered they can only be purchased through Walmart. Ship to store had it here in about 5 days.

Kids love it

Not a bad product BUT it is for children. I got the bike for an occasional ride around my neighborhood. I am an adult and the frame is a bit small for a full sized person. I'll probably look for a larger seat at the bike shop. The only problem is my wife makes me peddle her around. The small amount of assembly was very easy.

Fun Bicycle

If you want a side hack, but don't have the resources to buy or  build a custom, then this is a great starting point.  My kids actually Racine on a slightly modified and custom painted Impact Hack and have a blast doing it.

Good enough if you can't build your own

I bought this to cruise my son to 1st. grade everyday and get some exersize in the process. Well built and fun. Everybody in my neighborhood wants to ride it. Should last a while.

Most fun on 3 wheels

I bought this sidehack in the first run for Walmart.
I had several things go bad right away and could not get replacement parts. I am sure the warranty parts problem is ironed out by now.
Having said that, I purchased parts locally to replace the broken ones and Walmart took good care of me and reimbursed me.
This sidehack is a real head turner and has created alot of fun for me and my son.
With a few upgrades it can last a long long time.
I highly recommend this , the price is right for entry . The parts used are not the greatest, but you can only expect so much for $275.
You will definitely enjoy the ride!!!

Hack owner

Once assembled, this bike is a lot of fun. The instructions were written in pretty good English but seemed to skip important info along the way. A couple of the things that came preassembled were incorrect so I had to take them apart and then put them back together correctly. My 3-year-old son liked the bike from the minute I put him on the platform and showed him how to hold on. For me, since I'm 6' tall, if I want to sit down much I'll need to get a longer seat post. I don't know how well some of the parts will hold up over time but I should be able to replace things along the way and keep it rollin' along as my son grows up.

Pretty Decent

the impakt side hack is not even worth the money or the wait you will have to put into it. straight out of the box mine needs a new paint job due to lack of quality control and shipping material is emedded in paint as it was put on wet and as it may be only 3 weeks old it already needs brake cabels a new crank assembly all in all it will cost me just about what i paid for it i know its not an investmant but 3 weeks and all this needed poor quality control i should have had 1 fabricated locally.
