A friend recommended this little crock pot and uses it at work, she loves it and is always talking about it. I used mine today for the first time, had it on my desk at work, and it was soooo handy. Had chicken casserole and was so nice to reach over and have a nice hot lunch at my finger tips, I eat alot at my desk and work through lunch. Wish it had an on and off switch, but just need to remember to unplug it after lunch. I asked a co-worker if she could smell my lunch heating up, don't want to bother others around me, but she could not. The screw on top seems to keep the food smell contained, but maybe it was what I was eating. Love it and so glad I bought it, will use it regularly.

I bought this lunch size crock pot because at my office there is only one microwave that we all have to share and it's very difficult to get it when I am ready to eat without standing in line or eating late in the afternoon. I plugged it in at 7:00am when I arrived, and when I was ready to eat at 11:30am, my thick soup was nice and hot! How convenient to be at my desk and not have to leave to use the microwave! I do not know how long it took to heat my soup because I did not check it until I was ready to eat. All I know is that the soup was thoroughly heated through and it was nice and hot - unlike when it comes out of the microwave without stirring and re-nuking over and over. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a nice hot lunch at their desk. Comes with a nice length of cord that easily wraps around the base of the unit twice in a grooved area and the plug secures in it's own built-in holder very nicely under the bottom, letting the unit sit flat when not in use. Great design and even has a Power Indicator Light. Quick and easy cleanup too! Love, love, love it!

I heard about this product from a co-worker (the smaller version). I did my own research online and read the reviews here and decided to go with the newer crock - better seal and an off/switch. I am so pleased. I have used it for four days now. I have "cooked" three frozen meals, black eyed peas and brown rice, vegetable lasagna (it was so yummy and the vegan cheese was so melty and delicious) and spaghetti and "meat" balls. Today I am heating up Tomato Soup. It has been so wonderful having hot food. My job will not buy a microwave and even if they did this works so much better. No more hot spots, no more hard spots, no more radiation! I have been stuck with sandwiches, salads, and food in a thermos that just isn't hot enough. I can't say enough about this product. I have been telling everyone I see how great it is. If you love hot food for lunch you'll love this. I haven't been able to try leftovers yet, hopefully tomorrow. I am making an African Stew for dinner tonight! Happy Eating!

Best little crock around

I ordered 2 of these little jewels not knowing if my skeptical husband would like it or not. Let him use mine first just in case. It is everything it claims to be. The only thing we found was do not plug it in when you get to work. It only takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours for anything to heat up, from a can of soup to any leftovers you may have. We both love this little crockpot and many are asking where I got it. Sure beats waiting in like for a microwave! Would recommend to anyone.

This is a good deal. I use it for Soups, Chili, etc. In about 3 hours the food is piping hot. The MFG (Crock Pot) cautions you that this is a warmer and not a cooker. Do not try to use if for raw foods. There is no timer nor thermostat nor High/Low setting. The cord winds around the base and the plug snaps into a holder underneath for easy storage and transport. This is so much better, especially for the workplace, than trying to use the shared microwave in the break room. WalMart.com has the best price on the internet for this unit. Use the Ship-To-Store and save $$$.

I think this is a great item to have on hand. It is a great way to warm up your soups and stews. You can even use if for hot apple cider or perhaps keeping your oatmeal warm. Another great idea is to use it to warm up a little bit of water, cinnamon sticks and orange peels for a nice room freshner. Makes for a wonder gift for the office or for friends and family. I'm looking forward to seeing what other food items i could warm up using this crock pot.

I love the lunch crock. I pack my lunch for work every day, and I had gotten so sick of waiting in line for the (always dirty) microwave, not to mention that once I was finally able to heat my food it would be scorched on the outside but still cold in the middle. I stumbled across the lunch crock online and it seemed like the perfect solution. I pack my leftovers in the liner and take it to work, leaving the crock pot base in my office. I put my food-filled liner in the base and turn it on a couple of hours before lunchtime, and when I open the lid my lunch is perfectly, evenly heated! So far I've tried it with soups, casseroles, pasta, chicken, fish, hot sandwich fillings, and pretty much anything else you can think of. Initially I worried that the food smells from my lunch crock would bother the other people in my office, but the inner and outer lids fit tightly and prevent my co-workers from smelling my lunch all morning. Anyone who packs their lunch on a regular basis should get one of these. You'll love it!

I have never written a review on a product before but with this Crock-Pot I just HAD to. Truly one of the smartest purchases I ever made!! I just plug it in about an hour or so before I go for my scheduled lunch break and by the time I leave for lunch it is heated just right. Makes even leftovers taste wonderful. Don't have any hesitation on purchasing this Crock-Pot as you will not be disappointed.

My only wish is that the warming dish was either ceramic or stainless steel for health reasons, rather than aluminum. But, I know weight is an issue and they wanted to make it light. Otherwise, a great product for someone who doesn't like microwaving everything they eat!!

Saw this on tv and found it here. Hated having to go stand in a cold basement at work to nuke my food. This has been a lifesaver. I keep the outer part on my desk and tote the inside pot back and forth. I'll never have to use the microwave again. This has never burned anything and the food tastes great. I ordered several for Christmas gifts, but my coworkers liked mine so much that they've been purchasing my "stash" from me! I plug it in about 45 minutes before lunch and have piping hot food every single day. I bought 2 for my kitchen and our microwave got relegated to the attic. LOVE THIS!!!

This lunch crock warms food well, but some issues need to be addressed. First, the inside lid doesn't stay on when heating. It pops off because of expansion during heating. Next, The outer lid does not lock into place. It just "catches", so it comes off easily. Lastly, if you need to take the warmer to a different location to eat, you must take the entire unit, as the inner removable tub is metal & gets too hot to transport by itself. This means you have an electrical cord to deal with. It is a good idea, but really needs lots of tweaking!

My husband works construction and very rarely has access to a microwave. He was getting sick of sandwiches every day and started to resorting to fast food way too much. I saw this at a store and figured it'd be worth a try. He is loving it! Every leftover we have put in it so far has worked. We've done chili, stew, spaghetti, leftover hamburger patties, taco meat, chicken pot pie and more. We've also put hot dogs and brats in...you just have to bend them slightly to form the container. I just bought three more of the food container inserts, so we for sure always have an extra one or two clean...even when he has to pack for lunch and dinner.

I have taken it out right away using a napkin and not been burned. I like the fact that the insert and lid is dishwasher safe even though I find it so easy to clean anyway.
