About this item

A routine Jedi Academy field trip is turned into a rip-roaring comic adventure in "LEGO(R) Star Wars: The Padawan Menace(TM)". Tour guide Master Yoda leads a group of rambunctious Jedi Younglings through Senate chambers when he senses a disturbance in the Force. Summoned to help save the Republic, he discovers that one of the Younglings secretly boarded his ship... and has a taste for adventure! Meanwhile, C-3PO and R2-D2 are put in charge of the boisterous group and find themselves in over their heads. As the evil Sith prepare to wreak havoc, it's up to Yoda and the Droids to ensure that their young charges aren't torn to bricks.

Very entertaining

Loved this video! Funny and entertaining. My grandchildren all loved this movie (ages 4,7&9), just the right length. There are other features on the disc too, they watched them all. Very satisfied, I hope they make more of them.

I ordered this for my 5 year old grandson to mark losing his first tooth. He loves legos, particularly Star Wars. This has now become his favorite movie.

Lots of fun for Star Wars fans and Lego fans

Watching "The Padawan Menace" is a lot of fun. The humorous story incorporates familiar locations and characters from the Star Wars universe. It features Yoda, R2-D2, C-3PO (voiced by Anthony Daniels, of course) and some rambunctious padawans on an unexpected adventure. Look out for surprises and inside jokes, too. I loved the crazy plot and the references to the original Star Wars movies. There are some additional, shorter, Lego Star Wars cartoons included, and they're very enjoyable, too. I stumbled on one by accident on the Internet, and I'm pleased to own it. A Lego Star Wars minifigure is included, too, which is a nice bonus.

  • Yes. Both the blu-ray and dvd share the same extras (blu-ray is HD, while DVD is in Standard Definition): - The Quest for R2-D2 (shown on Cartoon Network) - Bombad Bounty (shown on Cartoon Network) - Star Wars in 2 Minutes (part 1) - Star Wars in 2 Minutes (part 2) - The Clone Wars Animated Comics

  • The movie is 22 minutes and then there are several short bonus videos. I think it is worth $13, but my kids LOVE Legos and Star Wars and they watch it often.

  • I'm not sure what the entire run-time is, but for the laughs and enjoyment my kids have gotten from it (and us parents, too), I'd say it was a fairly good buy. It is funny. The kids have watched the special features, but I haven't... not sure how long they are, though.

  • The main feature is 22 minutes, but with the extras, it's about an hour long in total.
    by originalStarWarsfan10/7/2011

  • The total runtime is only 22 minutes. It's pretty short for the cost, but there are a bunch of bonus films that are about 5-10 minutes a piece.

  • The total run time of the movie is 23 minutes. I'm not sure about the extras as we only watched one and that was the one where they did the entire Star Wars saga in 2 minutes using Legos to illustrate (that was hilarious). ...If I had known the movie was only 23 minutes I wouldn't have purchased it for $13, but if you consider that you get the little minifigure of Han Solo as a boy and figure that into the price it makes the price sound a little better since single mini figs are about $4 a piece. Not sure if this helps. I'm sorry if you're even more confused now. It is a good short movie though! :O)

  • 2 discs - well worth it
    by MojoTurbo10/1/2011

  • The feature film is 22 minutes. There's roughly 22 minutes worth of special features that are made up of Lego Star Wars shorts. Not sure if the mini fig that comes with it is a big deal to you or not, but it's a neat addition.

  • 22 minutes. Compared to the new Star Wars Saga on blu ray release minute for minute, this should be priced at about $2.45.

  • I do not know this for a fact there maybe more added to this DVD. But if it is the same one my son watched on TV it is only about 20mins long. While it was very good I don't think a 20 minute DVD with a lego guy is worth $13. I was going to purchase but I think I will wait for it to come down in price.
