Rated 3 out of 5 by I was disappointed with this purchase. This was another "Santa" gift for my 4 year old. It's nothing like the one I had when I was growing up. I liked mine where you could see the food baking through a window. The mixes are small and the instructions about how much water to put in was not correct. The price is a little steep for no more than there is to it. I am hoping the manufacturer will look over the comments that have been made about this product and make some improvement to make this better. 01/03/2012

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nothing beats a real oven I think this product is made for an older child to use independently. The cupcakes are the only thing we tried so far and everything is tiny that for small hands it is difficult to scoop and release cupcakes once baking is finished. Younger kids definitely are more at ease with being able to spread icing on a bigger cupcake. We haven't baked a cake in the cake pan, but I am sure that this will be an easier less disheartening treat to decorate once my 6 year old is ready to play with it again. Package arrive damage but it was ok only the box was broken and i think they could did a better shipping not sending it in the same box material came in. Rated 1 out of 5 by Very Dissapointed. I would not buy this. My daughter saved her money for 5 months to buy this. When we got it home and took it out of the box she was so dissapointed she cried fo 2 hours. The pans are too small!. The Cupcakes are smaller than my thumbnail and the cake pan is maybe 1/4" deep. The "cookbook" that was included was not a cookbook but just the instructions on how to use their mixes not how to make something on your own. This is not the easy bake oven from my childhood. I would not recommend this for anyone. Now on to dry her tears again. 06/12/2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by About what we expexted We didn't figure this would cook well. It doesn't cook evenly. Half of my daughters cookies were halfway done and the other half weren't even that. I followed the directions and did everything with her so I know it was done right. Save your money!!! 05/23/2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by My daughter bought this item because she really wanted one and didn't get one for Christmas. She played with it non stop for the first week. She really likes making desserts with it, the cookies were a little sticky to do but she's had fun with it. The only thing I have an issue with is that the items are so small and the mixes are a little expensive. I would recommend it for a younger one who wants to learn how to bake though... 04/27/2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by A son who loves to cook Our six year old son had been asking for this Easy Bake Oven for over a year. We had waited, because there were other things that he also wanted, and it wasn't available in a color other than purple. Finally, we got him one for his birthday. He LOVES it. He cooks something in it nearly every day. My only complaints are that the "cupcakes" are thin and tiny. Also, I wish that it was available in another color. It only comes with a couple of mixes, so I'd recommend buying some refill kits a the same time you buy the oven. It can get a little pricey, but so can video games. The directions are simple and our son really enjoys being able to "cook" things for his siblings. It seems like it doesn't get too hot, so even though we keep it on the counter, out of reach of our littlest ones, I'm not worried about our son burning himself. I do wish that they would do a better job of having molds and specialty items for it that were appropriate for boys. 03/02/2013

The easy bake ultimate oven that I got for my stepdaughter never actually worked.. it says to pre heat for 20 mins and cook for 10, after pre heating for 40 mins and it being hot we put whatever she was making in it and took it out after 10 mins, it wasn't cooked so it went back in, we checked it every 10 mins for almost an hour and it still didn't cook, we used the oven 3 times thinking maybe it was us. now on the plus side i called Hasbro the makers of easy bake and they are sending me a shipping label and will be mailing us a brand new easy bake even though we purchased it December 17th and today is Feb 14. hopefully we won't have the same problems with easy bake #2 02/14/2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't waste your money Please don't waste your money on an easy bake oven. I don't know how they've survived this long. Besides the food refills being expensive and hard to find the food that is baked isn't worth the time. The age on the oven is 8. If your daughter or son is like mine by the age of 8 they've already helped you bake using food that is actually edible. I took the oven back to the store and purchased a cupcake maker and pretzel maker since that is what my daughter wanted to make. She is much happier, no special trips to buy these refills and we can actually eat the food! 01/13/2013

My only complaint is that the sweets actually taste like globs of sugar. I need to find a way to desugarize the food. :) It's worth it. Rated 3 out of 5 by Not worth the work, as expected with Easy-Bake. As expected, the "pastries" are very small, and still it takes a long time to bake them; I suppose nothing unexpected from an Easy-Bake. But the cupcakes, when putting the mix in the cupcake papers, wouldn't fit in the oven. There is a small slot to insert, maybe an inch high, and we had to redo everything. Otherwise, the instructions were pretty easy to follow. The handling with the spatula is a bit awkward. Overall, I think anyone would get bored with this pretty quickly, and frustrated. 01/05/2013
