Works great. Good price. Humidistat seems accurate. No issues with direct drain. Looks like I have an updated version that addressed the direct drain problem. The drain output on mine is curved down, older ones appear to go straight out. Fan runs constantly but fairly quiet. Mine is in the basement, so noise is not an issue anyway.

This is a great product! We have an unfinished basement that was very damp and had a damp smell to it.... since receiving this product my basement is completely different! The first few days (prior to hooking up the hose) this dehumidifier filled the bucket 3 times in a 24hr period. Now our basement no longer feels damp, the smell is gone and we are able to store rubbermaid containers down there! I highly recommend this product to anyone that needs a dehumidifier!
Ps- I ordered this product and the NEXT DAY it came to my door! AMAZING! Thank you Wal-Mart! Best $0.97 cents I have ever spent :)

Bought this as my LG model went out just after the one year for labor and parts expired. This baby keeps my basement dry, is super quiet compared to the LG. I have to actually open the basement door to hear if it is still working. I could hear my old one while I was watching T.V. The water container fills quickly. It was well worth the money I paid for it.

It runs good. Just plug in after removing all the tape they put on it for shipping. It's a little noisy but not bad for a dehumidifier. I have it in the garage here in Florida where the humidity really builds up. I dump the water daily. I may hook it up to a hose so it will just empty outside. I had researched this model on the Internet and WalMart had the best price. A friend had purchased the same unit at another store and paid more for it. Only problem I had was that FedEx delivered it to the wrong address. Luckily, someone called me and told me and I drove to get it. I did make a complaint to WalMart about that.

I was exceptionally pleased with the ease of ordering and the fast shipping service. I had the item on my front porch in 1 1/2 days. The operation and the efficiency of the product also impresses me. The unit runs very quietly. I'm glad I had the sense to check Walmart on the price too. It was the most competitive price I could find.

i have had the frigidaire dehumidifier now for about one month. i spent time reviewing comments and reviews from other electronic and home applicance store websites. i also reviewed the consumer report ratings, which was very favorable. i am pleased. it does the job, very quiet, easy to use, and surprisingly very low in price on walmart.com.

This dehumidifier does a great job keeping our 700 sq. ft. basement dry and odor-free. Highly recommended, well worth the small increase in price over others in this class. Very well made and surprisingly quiet compared to the 14-month old (dead) Haier it replaced. I had the product shipped directly to my house and it came in two days via ground transportation. Good work Walmart!

Rated 5 out of 5 by zoningchair SUPER FAST DELIVERY FROM WALMART!! We've only had the dehumidifier a few weeks but so far it works fine. With all the rain here in NY, it's been running 24/7 in the basement. Only complaint is that emptying collected water from the bucket - which we must do 2-3 times daily at present - is somewhat cumbersome.

This dehumidifier is quieter than the Kenmore that was only three years old. It also has a much longer warranty on the sealed unit.

After 3 weeks, I have no complaints with the dehumidifier. Most units run fine for a year or two, then break down. Wish they made them like the older (1970) models.

I purchased two of these units to replace the ones I had in my basement. The units I replaced were older, smaller, much louder, and could not keep up with the moisture. These two new dehumidifiers are doing the job very well. I have one set up to drain directly into a sump basin and the other collecting in the standard internal container. The internal collection bucket filled extremely quickly the first couple days, but emptying before it reached capacity ensured that I didn't spill any on the floor. Aside from my own error in not tightening the external drain hose enough, a bit of water dripped on the floor. Simply tightening a bit more solved the drip immediately. Otherwise, I have not have any problems with the external drain working. Not sure how accurate the humidity settings are, but for me this doesn't matter at all. As long as I don't have water dripping off my cold water pipes and there is not a damp musty smell they are doing the job I bought them to do. Bottom line - I'm very pleased with my purchase and would recommend to others.

have had this dehumidifier for a few weeks now; seems to work well am pleased with ti so far. only thing i don't like about it; the water resevoir doesn't empty neatly, it has a tendency to spill unless poured out very slowly. also the resevoir is small so has to be emptied twice a day.

I like the light weight of the unit and it is on rollers for moving about.

I like this machine, it is relatively quite as far as the fan goes; however, it has a tendency to "rattle" when it is running which is something that drives me crazy. I believe it is because the handle on the drip container rattles when the fan is running. I guess when you use all plastic pieces to build a product, that will tend to happen. Other than the rattle, it is a little work horse!

Very pleased with how this product works. Removes alot of moisture from the air. A bit concerned about the auto shut-off float. Can't tell from directions if it's installed properly and don't want to risk water spilling out on to hardwood floors.

This dehumidifier works fine. I had a damp musty smell in my basement and it went away in 1/2 day. However, I do have a humidity measuring device (not sure what they're called but it's like a thermometer that measures humidity) in my basement and this unit runs constantly to maintain 50%. I probably should have gotten a 70 pt unit but my basement is really small and I thought the 50 pt unit would been sufficient. The unit does what it is supposed to but opt for the large unit for the basement. It is a little on the noisy side but not an issue in the basement.

this dehumidifier works great and collects lots of water from the air. it makes the room smell fresh and its also quit on low speed, BUT humidity meter is not accurate, when you start machine the reading says 85 and after 1 min it goes to 55, i don't thing that the humidity level in the room goes down that fast. other than that, it works great!

This unit does a great job of taking the moisture out of the air. However if you put it in a bed room like I did be sure you do not have your AC on at the time, also turn off a few hours before you go to bed, becasue it will make the room hot, just less humid. Overall Great value

Before I purchased this I read several reviews for many other dehumidifiers and this one seemed to have pretty much the best comments with the least complaints. We had an LG for many years that still hums as though it is working but was accumulating no water. This one worked right out the box and so far has been working very good. It is relatively quiet (though another reviewer said theirs was loud) which is a plus because it is in our recreation room in our basement where we do a lot of entertaining. We keep ours on because of the humidity in our lower level, it is simple to work and I hope (no pray) it last longer than our LG, which lasted about 4yrs right after the warranty expired. Also, after shopping around Walmart had the best price for this product.
