I needed a varmit gun and foldly remembered the Daisy Powerline 880 I had as a boy. It was a decision to go with either the Crossman 760 or the Daisy 880 and I decided on the Daisy and am pleased so far. Both airguns are well made and have good reputations, but I decided on the Daisy mainly because it has a rifled barrell and is rated with a higher fps. I was leary of the Daisy because of some of the critical comments some reviewer made, but am pleased with my purchase. The gun appears to be well made and is very accurate without the scope. I agree with the reviewers that said the scope is a piece of garbage and you're better off either buying a better scope or not using one at all. I don't have particularly fat fingers and it can still be a bit of hassle loading the .177 cal pellets, but nothing that can't be overcome. The bottom line is I would recommend this airgun for those needing a varmint gun or to introduce kids to weapon operation and safety.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Jayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy decent airgun
This gun is decent. It's accurate with both BBs and pellets and big enough for an adult.
Like most Daisy products the construction is kind of flimsy. The stock wobbled soon after purchase, but has yet to fall off. As you probably know the scope that comes with this gun blows.
This along with my .22 rifle are what i use most often at the target range.
Rated 3 out of 5 by AlfarKynwulf Not as advertised
The air rifle is advertised both at Walmart, and on the box as 800 FPS (Feet Per Second). However, the owners manual and all online sources place it closer to only 725FPS.. a pretty significant reduction. The air rifle itself is a great little model... but it is most certainly not what is advertised by Walmart nor by Daisy. I do not understand Daisy rating this air rifle on the box at 800 FPS, then recanting that on the manual.
Rated 5 out of 5 by BigTime004 Shoots straight, Hits hard, Scope is nice.
I had this same air rifle as as a kid
and loved it. Back then it did not
Come with a scope which makes
It way eaiser to see and hit your
Target. It will place 1" grouping with
Pellets at 60' maybe more. Strong
Enough for small game with ten
Pumps fun for targets with three
Pumps. Less than 50.00 really don't
Waste your time on the others.
Rated 4 out of 5 by DIGGSBEE Spend less and get the one without the scope. Usless Junk. Shoots well When you finally get the sights set. Volicity is a bit slow. Drop is alot after 75-100 ft. It's an air driven. What do u expect. Danger for young kids that don't understand. Powerfull if missused. Over all score 8.

This is a nice design but the quality is bad. Very inaccurate shooter it was a big disappointment. I would not recommend this product to anyone!
Rated 5 out of 5 by JoBl0w Bang for your Buck!
This gun is easily worth it's value. It's powerful and very accurate. I had the gun sighted in at 25 yards with a 1/4" group with 7 shots. This rifle is a must have for the beginner. Shoot often and shoot safely!
Rated 5 out of 5 by sandman041 It's a great pellet rifle for a beginer.
I had one of these when I was a kid and my daughter wanted one so to me this was a great purchase. I can't wait to take her target shooting.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Spitfire911 Ol faithful
Daisy has been making this model for many years for a good reason , its dependable low maintiance , very accurate gun . I have never been good with setting up the scope , but I will keep trying .
Rated 5 out of 5 by BackyardShooter This is a great little gun. My husband and I have hours of fun target shooting with it. It is also a very accurate gun and inexpensive to shoot providing lots of entertainment!

Rated 1 out of 5 by ForniMe BAD PRODUCT
I used to own one of these as a kid, so i know how it should shoot. And this gun shoots horribly because half the time it would not pressurize correctly. Huge disappointment from Daisy, RGS
Rated 2 out of 5 by peanutkelly the scope is too hard to adjust to zero it in
Rated 1 out of 5 by daninokc The rifle that couldn't shoot straight
My old Daisy Powerline, many years old, finally gave out, so I bought another one - this one. When I got it home and unpackaged it, I discovered the rifle was entirely plastic, including the barrel. It loaded easily, cocked easily, but was wildly inconsistent when shooting it. When aiming straight at a target the BB would go left, right, up, down, and, occasionally, straight. I thought I might have a defective item, so I exchanged it for a another one. Same results. Took it back, got a refund, and bought a more expensive model with a steel barrel, which is very accurate. Nobody should buy this rifle if they're concerned about actually hitting what they're shooting at.
Rated 1 out of 5 by RedDog99 Bought it for my grandson. I didn't expect much due to the price. But this piece of junk is laughable.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Bites18 Childs Toy!!!!!!!
I bought this gun about 2 days ago i thought its cheap has good reviews why not!!! This is a perfect example of you get what you pay for... I brought it home the entire thing is plastic I was like ok... havent seen that before ( unless it was a childs toy) so got it all sighted in and ready to go im ready to shoot something, so i thought. I COULDNT HIT THE BROAD SIDE OF A BARN THIS GUN was awful!!!! So i checked the sight got sighted in again!!!! tried to shoot something hit it yay next shot miss... its just an all around terrible product unless you want to sit there and sight it in after every shot. needless to say I bought it to go squirel hunting on the last day of squirel season you can imagine my frustration, and the few squirells i did hit the pellets just bounced off of them and the squirells would come back to laugh at me i pumped it 20 times and was about 10 feet away from the squirel!!! from that distance i could have thrown a rock at them with dead on accuracy and killed it... Im returning it and getting a more expensive one, perferably not a childs toy!!!
Rated 1 out of 5 by gamepeopleplay great for what I needed

Rated 5 out of 5 by W84it A Air Rifle of choice for suburban
Daisy Powerline 880 .177 Carbine Air Rifle with Scope Pellet rifles require top notch shooting on the part of the hunter, because a wounded squirrel can usually still climb a tree.
Precise pellet placement is more important than minor differences in pellet penetration or expansion
Daisy Powerline 880 .177 Carbine Air Rifle with Scope. . A simple Air Rifle of choice for suburban squirrel/ pigeon "hunters/haters ". Either way you go, you should find the Daisy Powerline 880 .177 Carbine Air Rifle with Scope shoots accurately when sighted in....
Rated 5 out of 5 by CTAndrew Nice range of power on this BB/Pellet leverpump
I bought this for my son's 8th Birthday. I made sure the lever pumping action on this rifle was not difficult at all. You may pump from one to eight times depending on your desired velocity. One pump and the BB won't penetrate cardboard, Eight pumps and you can take down a small animal. I wish the stock was wood not plastic, I also wish the chamber held more rounds. I have mainly used it a BB gun but have shot a few pellets. Not a bad choice of rifle to chose to teach you kid to shoot with.
Rated 5 out of 5 by duhugh fairly good for target practice . I like the scope !!
Rated 5 out of 5 by LakeGuyFl Great Gun
very accurate gun , hard to load pellets , very powerful
Rated 4 out of 5 by PNGY Good all purpose air rifle
I purchased this product with two purposes in mind; to teach my daughter how to target shoot and to take care of a grackle problem. While this is no Remington or Benelli, it certainly does what I need it to. Coming straight out of the box, the aim was dead on with iron sights to about 50 feet as attested to by the significant reduction of pest birds around our home. The pump action is a little difficult for my 12 year old to use but I see that as an advantage. She can only use it when I am around. The scope is a little muzzy but I wasn't expecting high class optics. Again, it does what I need it to and is helping my daughter how to use both types of sighting methods. Overall, this rifle is an exceptional purchase and I would buy it again if needed.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gsimpson2g Awesome air rifle for the price. Scope leaves a bit to be desired. Once sighted in, was nailing bullseye every time with pellets.
Rated 5 out of 5 by redneckhunter103 Pellets
does anyone have any suggestions for the best brand/kind of pellets to get for this gun?
Rated 4 out of 5 by QuickEyeMcgraw Inexpensive shooting practice rifle
I purchased the BB rifle for several reasons, one was to have an inexpensive way to practice my aim. With ammo being more and more expensive, and soon to be rare to find, I'd rather not waste any on my lousy aim. The air rifle shoots well and the aim, with some minor adjustments is spot on. (I had someone who could shoot try it out and make the adjustments for me) The scope though, on the other hand is useless. No manor of adjusting (see expert mention) was able to correct the off site aim of it. So I shoot without it. Overall, it serves its intended purpose and I am enjoying being able to practice at will and not spend a fortune on wasted ammo.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pecanman62 Nice air rifle, but scope was hard for me to align. Without scope the sights were ease to align and rifle shoots true.
Rated 5 out of 5 by ashton5443 good gun for shooting birds and squirrels. the scope is not very accurate though.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Daisy880shooter I love my Daisy!
I've had this gun for 5 years now and it is still shootin' strong. It shoots excellent with bbs and pellets although i prefer bbs because they are way better for target shooting. It is VERY easy to pump, so it is good for a beginner. A couple months ago i did a test with my Daisy 880 and My friends' Crosman 760. The Daisy 880 was consistently shooting more straight and more powerful. So it's definantly better than all it's competitiors combined. The thing i like most about this gun is that it shoots 800 feet per second with bbs and about 625 feet per second with pellets.
I've been very happy with the gun and you will too!
Rated 5 out of 5 by GunSlingerJoe This air gun is a well rounded air rifle. It looks nice and is very solid. This gun is very durable also and could be dropped and would still shoot straight. I bought this air rifle and planed to use it for pest control and small game. I used it on some pesky birds in the blueberry bushes this gun dropped them easily. It is very easy to pump and is fairly quite if you are trying to be stealthy. I used it with the iron sights which are really good but they have a weakness at longer distances so i put on the scope it came with. This scope was good until I set it down and went away came back the next day to use my new gun and it was already shooting off this scope is just junk. Don't expect to much from the scope. But other than that it works very good and i don't. regret my purchase
