    • A. Yes, only problem is if the site youre buying from supports flash, the iPad wont pick it up, and you wont be able to see the whole site completely. Most of the sites I buy from barely use Flash unless its the intro to the site or an advertisement, so its always a way to get around that. =)

    • A. Nope - just access to wifi to get online. Can also use a 3G mobile card from a great wireless provider like Verizon. Service is about $20 a month. Makes iPad connected like a smart phone without need for wifi. All iPads come with wifi built in.

    • A. No, but you will need a wifi connection to get onto the internet, download newspapers, books etc. There is an Ipad that you can get AT&T service with, but wifi's are pretty easy to find these days, I don't think it is worth the expense, better to spend the money on more memory.

This computer took the place of my now bulky laptop, my laptop is my desktop now lol. My iPad slides easily into my purse so I can take it anywhere. The battery life on it is amazing; sometimes I can go for at least two days without charging it! The display is beautiful, its easy to type on it (but thats because if youre a iPhone user youre use to it by now), the sound is very good with or without the speakers plugged in. I also LOVE to read from iBooks or Amazon Kindle, its so easy to buy a book and it downloads very fast. For some reason, if I pull it out somewhere it is a convo piece, like I hear people say ooh look, she has an iPad lol. Only cons I have with it: no usb port (which there is a part you can buy to fix that prob), no iMovie (yet), and it doesnt support adobe flash (i know it can slow the comp down but some sites only work with that). Other than that I was sold. I didnt care about the camera being that I have two on my iPhone4.

I expected so much more. I have a droid X phone and it does so much more than this. If you try and use the Bluetooth to transfer pictures or anything you can't do it unless you have a iPhone. You have to use iTunes to even start using the iPad. So if you don't have a computer you can't use it until you hook it up to one to gain access to your iPad. There are thousands of programs on the app store but most of them are lame. Android market does not have as many apps yet but they are more useful and Bluetooth does not discriminate. The iPad is cool and does have a great feel to it. Video is fantastic. The display is awesome. The lack of a camera and USB ports and no flash player is a major downfall. I have spent the last 24 hours strait playing with the iPad only to realize it is not for me and will be going up for sale on eBay. I'll wait for the new motorola zoom android pad. I believe this would be great for kids and preteens or if all you want to do is email.

I puchased this iPad to replace a laptop that my 3 kids share to do their thing (including writing papers for school). They were on their 4th laptop because of: broken power connecotrs and spilled drinks into the keyboards. For slightly more than what I would normally pay for a laptop I deceided the iPad was something I wanted to try. I purchased a couple of $10 programs that allows the kids to print their iWorks documents. The battery seemingly last for days. I bought a keyboard and all we use it for is to charge the unit. I bought the 32G unit but I don't see why the 16G unit wouldn't be enough. We store all our songs and video on a NAS drive so all you really need to store are the programs you want (and leave room to swap in music/video if you want to use it as a player). You can't go wrong with the iPad and I think a smaller screen would be a downer. The only issue I see with the iPad is viewing in sunlight but it is no too bad if you turn the brightness all the way up. If your a coffee drinker and like to hang out at Starbucks, thy are providing free hook-ups to the WSJ, free movie downloads and more. Most of it is directed toward iPad users as the web sites that ar providing all the free stuff support HTML5 video (versus flash). The WSJ alone normally costs $20 per month.

As someone who spends hours online surfing, which includes reading content, and Youtubing, I gotta say this IPad has terrific battery life. I have spent up to 9 hours on it before the battery indicator got down to 30%. No exaggeration! It completely blows away my laptop battery life by miles. The screen is user friendly, and not overly-sensative like some touch screens can be. The only downside is the inability to play some adobe flash video content. For instance, I cannot see videos on NFL, or NBA.com. It's a bit pricey though, but it's worth it. I will now only use my laptop as a desktop.

I held out buying a iPad when it came out because I have the iPhone and a iPod touch. I just thought it was a bigger version of what I had. But I couldn't have Been more wrong. The iPad is a great device and it has totally replace my netbook and desktop. The things I do on a computer are surfing the web email play games and write in my journal. I can do all that on the iPad and have double the battery life. I am in love with it and found myself using it all day when I get a chance. I just wish it had more ram which I am sure they increase in the iPad 2. I bought the iPad a month ago and wondered how I lived without it. Typing is fine on here. I highly recommend it.

One day I was at best buy playing with the Ipad that they had out for display. It's very cool, easy to handle, and very fun to use when you're like in college because of the ereader. It's really fun when it come to playing the games on the Ipad. It say it has bluetooth that will come in hand when you want to get something from a friend or family phone or something that has a bluetooth capable. Its really fun but if you the type of person that can't handle or just don't like to use a touch screen then you would not like it. I see people buying the 32gb and the 64gb really the 16gb is enough memory.

I am writing this review to inform consumers who are looking into this product about a downfall. I recently thought I was going to have to send in my ipad after 4 months of use so I went on the apple website and found out you only get 3 months complimentary phone tech support and then you can either file a one time incident report for 29.95 or extend your warranty. The product itself is great and works well I would recommend it to anyone.
