"Boys of Fall" is a football documentary about life. Executive Producer and Country Superstar, Kenny Chesney began shooting footage and football interviews for his new single "The Boys of Fall" in fall 2009. After shooting footage of friend and New Orleans Saints' coach Sean Payton at his high school alma mater, Chesney decided to expand the video into a full documentary film. Over the next several months he filmed youth football games, high school football games & locker room speeches as well as interviews with football greats. Interviews include Troy Aikman, Bobby Bowden, Mack Brown, Tony Dungy, Brett Favre, John Madden, Peyton Manning, Joe Namath, Sean Payton, Bill Parcells, Nick Saban and Jim Tressel. After an introduction that includes Payton speaking to his old high school team in the locker room before a big game, it depicts how those who do not go on to long, storied careers in the NFL, like high school wide receiver Chesney, the lessons learned on the field help to shape who they are today.

A must have if you played high school football! What a great documentary about high school football. My Dad played high school, college, semi pro football and then coached back in the 40's, 50's & 60's. Football has always been a part of his life in some way. I saw a clip of this film at Christmas and knew my Dad had to see it. Ordered it on line (Amazon price is double what Walmart had it listed for) and neither of us were disappointed. 02/02/2011
Very Good Documentary This is a very well produced 'behind the scene' documentary on high school football with expert accounts from college and pro football.Anyone that played high school football can relate to the production. The documentary does not have much build up to games, or the typical sports build up to overcome adversity. This is a bit of sports entertainment I missed, and made the film a bit dry in spots.However my wife and teen son thought it moved well. They both gave it a thumbs up and would watch it again. For me the inside look at the timeless game of high school football kept my attention throughout. The words of wisdom from some of the game's best coaches is invaluable. I too give it a thumbs up. 01/30/2011
Most inspirting football DVD This video illustrates in deep detail the meaning of teamwork, camaraderie, and lifelong friendships and memories that come out of the game of football. Legendary coaches, players, high school coaches are interviewed and shown in their roles as models to young men. I highly recommend this production for anyone who loves the game of football or other sports. The message is universal. 01/27/2011
