The picture is different than it is shown. The item is shown in plastic case, but I received the item in clear plastic box. I haven't used the aspirator yet. I am sure I will like the aspirator because of a large positive feedback from my friends. But it is really inconvenient to store the aspirator in that box which i am sure not for storage....

Prior to my purchase I had heard of this snotsucker, but certainly never imagined sucking my babys nose out with a tube that goes into my mouth. You use your own mouth to suck the snot out. It totally sounds awful right? Wrong. You won't get snot in your mouth... NoseFrida protects that from happening, there is a disposable filter that is included with this (youll have to order more after awhile) to prevent mucus or bacteria transfer! Here are some of the things I LOVE about this awesome snotsucker.... >Its made of non-allergenic, latex-free, BPA-free, and phthalate-free polypropylene. > You CANT suck to hard, so you dont have to worry about that. > Safe to use on newborns and preemies. > Non-invasive – Which means that instead of going inside the nose like thoses awful bulbs, it forms a seal with the outside of the baby’s nostril which creates a vacuum. > Its easy to wash! I should have bought this before my baby was born. It has been a lifesaver and I've used it so much when my daughter gets colds. It truly helps her breath better. I have already raved about this to my friends and family!

I was given the suggestion to try the nose frida about 2 and a half years ago when my newborn became congested. It was awful he couldn't eat because he couldn't breath. The bulb syringe was getting practically nothing out. I sent my husband to the store in the middle of the night to get this. We did a couple sprays of saline spray and then used the nose frida. It was literally a matter of seconds until it all cleared out! I can't say he lets me use it on him now at 2 and a 1/2 years old but we now use this with our second child! I always suggest it to new moms who are complaining about their babies not being able to breath!

My little guy has asthma, and struggles with allergies (or so we believe)! Seems like he's constantly stuffy even with saline, a humidifier, and a regular 'booger sucker'. I bought this in hopes to clear out more of his congestion. It seems to work the same, or maybe a little better than a regular aspirator (bulb). I have sucked boogers through the 'filter' on this... didn't taste so great! And, it's kind of a pain in the butt washing all the parts... and only having 3 filters with a new one... those go pretty fast (if your kid is as stuffy as mine!). However, I do think at times it did get some extra stuff out that a regular one wouldn't have. For the 'regular baby' - this is probably great. My little guy is just so stuffy - that I'm not sure any aspirator will really do a great job for him. Good luck - and be careful - if you suck hard... you might get a little surprise in your mouth!

My 4 month old came down with a cold and was extremely congested. The bulb we got from the hospital was getting NOTHING out, sounded like all the snot was way up there and down into his throat, simply put it sounded as if he was drowning in snot, and it was keeping him and us up at night and keeping him from latching on to eat because he couldnt beathe . This thing is AMAZING! it's not as gross as I thought, just buy it, seriously. It took like 5 seconds and EVERYTHING from our sons nose was in the tube! I cant say amazing enough. He could instantly breathe again, sleep again, and it kept his cold from turning into something worse, helped him get better quick, and we could instantly all sleep again at night knowing that he was breathing easy, best baby product I have ever, ever bought.

After using "the snotsucker" on my infant, this has become my go-to baby shower gift. Every time I give this as a gift, I get the weirdest, most disgusted looks from the mom-to-be... and I get it. In theory it sounds disgusting. But in reality, when those bulb syringes aren't working to clear up your poor helpless baby's nose, you'll try anything. And when you realize how incredibly this product performs, you'll forget that you're essentially sucking snot out of your child's nose. For what it's worth, it's pretty much impossible for the snot to make it anywhere near your mouth; you're just providing the power while the syringe on the end does all of the dirty work. If you're having trouble using the bulb syringes on your little one, give this a shot... you won't regret it!

This has been amazing. I have a 4 month old who was getting very congested, and those normal bulb snot suckers just were not doing anything. After using NoseFrida the first time I noticed a difference. It has been a life saver and I would recommend in a million times over. (It sounds really gross at first but the snot has come nowhere near my mouth, there is a filter to stop it to bit it's never come close to that either)

If you haven't had success with bulb syringes, you'll love this product. It came highly recommended, and I must pass those high recommendations on. It really does get a lot out of a baby's nose with little effort. I use a little saline spray first and then use this. The concept does have an ick factor, but actually using it doesn't seem gross at all. I can't say my baby enjoys it, but he doesn't hate it like the bulb syringe.

I recently bought a NoseFrida after a recommendation from a friend. I was skeptical, put off by the price, and a bit grossed out when I first heard of it:) This product works so much better than the traditional bulb syringe. More suctioning power, nothing goes up the child's already sensitive nostril, and ability to clean the product completely! No fear of accidentally transferring old boogers or being unsanitary. I'm 100% satisfied...

    • A. It isn't electric - it's operated by you sucking on a tube that you hold in your mouth (at the other end of the tube, there is an end that goes right up to the baby's nostril). Don't worry though, nothing gets in your mouth! I know it sounds really gross, but it works great!

    • A. It is not electric. It's very simple to use. It comes assembled. The tube portion is pressed against the baby's nostril and the red mouthpiece is placed between your lips. Then you literally suck the snot out of baby's nose! It sounds gross, but I've used it a number of times now and nothing has ever gotten even halfway up the tube, and has definitely not made it past the filter and into the narrow tubing that connects to the mouthpiece. It works SO MUCH better than a bulb syringe. We love this product!

    • A. This works by the suction produced from your own mouth (no electricity or batteries). It is a long thin tube you place in your mouth attached to a test tube like device that you put on the baby's nostril. You suck on the end of the tube and the snot is collected in the test tube like device (there is a filter to prevent any snot from coming up the tube). Sounds weird and gross, but it isn't and it works extremely well.
