Rated 5 out of 5 by jayhawk93 big gladiator action with original characters Loved this movie. It was a nice break from all the cliched hollywood movies. No clear good guys and bad guys because each character is judged individually whether Roman or Pict. Not an endless epic flick, it keeps the plot simple, moving and relatable. It plays a lot with unusual characters like the fierce woman pict warrior and the noble roman warrior even though the romans were the invaders. This gave it a refreshing twist on the usual. Great Sat. night flick for the family if you don't mind the violence and gore..in fact its very bloody. Loved the romance at the end. 04/02/2011
