Rated 5 out of 5 by Great appearance and functionality I was very pleased with the appearance and functionality of both trash cans. My dog was getting into the other one, so this is much more convenient. I would note, however, that I have the kitchen trash can located in a high traffic area and it frequently opens as you walk by. I am also curious how long the batteries will last. It takes two for the smaller trash can and the three batteries for the larger one. I have only had the trash cans a couple of weeks and so far, so good! 01/19/2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Broke in 6 mos This is my second nine star trash can. The first lasted 5 years which I thought reasonable. It was the plastic that broke on that one. It was a different model. This model the motor broke within 6 mos. Will go back to buying my first model. 01/13/2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for germ free! Perfect for my family members who get the heebee jeebies just thinking about coming close to a germ! Works as expected - wave your hand over the tall one, or even a knee above the sensor for the short one. They open quickly. Standard trash bags work, so you can keep using what you already have. An interior can IS included! Of note, can't keep little one next to pedastool sink or toilet. Their closeness activates the lid to open and it won't close. Just move to other wall.. 01/06/2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for when your hands are full I just purchased this auto open trash can that I use in the kitchen. What I like is that when my hands are full of trash, I just wave my full hands or elbow over the lid and it pops up! Easy to use. There is also a button to push on the top that will leave the lid up should you need that. Then, push the second button to manually close. The second, little trash can works the same way. I tried it under a dressing table that was too low to allow the lid to work so was placed in an open spot. They look nice, work well and were a good price. 01/05/2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this set! I absolutely love this set of trash cans. One for the kitchen and one for the bathroom. They are also quite the conversation piece when I have company. They open up whenever I need them to with no problem. I would highly reccommend them. My dog likes the one in the bathroom, she walks in there and her tail sometimes gets above into the opening zone and when it opens, she jumps back and looks at it!! to funny. 12/30/2012

The bathroom size is also great. Good bargain for sale price on this combination. The batteries to operate the auto opening seems to drain quicker then expected. 12/27/2012
