I have had since December Christmas gift for my self to cut down on unhealthy sugars. In the photo you can see I used a shopping bag for the waste product which can be put in a compost bin for your garden or save it for someone who compost. Here is a video of an easy way to clean the juicing blade for it. My channel.

I went online to walmart.com to look up juicers for a good decent price. Found this black and decker and saw it had wonderful reviews. So I drove to my local walmart to check if they had one in stock. To my luck there was one on the shelf. This juicer makes plenty of juice from veggies and fruits that I had used. Yes, it does have a small mouth so it it good if you are only juicing for yourself because you need to cut up everything. I highly recommend this juicer to any single or one person user. Perfect for small spaces such as a small apartment like mine. Fit perfectly by coffee maker between stove and fridge (which is 17 inches). Picture shows left overs on what I juiced. 1 Carrot, 1 apple, 1 celery stalk, and 1/2 cucumber.

Purchased this juicer for my son for Christmas. He said he loves it. I purchase the jack L. Because this one was out of stock instore. This is perfect for anyone who would love to benefit from juicing while on a budget. PSA expensive does not mean the best. I recommend this juicer. For easy clean place a grocery sack in the pulp shoot. Great invest for a low price.

I'm not a type of person who would write a review for an item, but I can't ignore this time. I've been using this Black and Decker juicer for 2weeks, and as the picture I've attached, it leaks on the sideways while i juice. I'm going to return this and get a different one.

Excellent Little Juicer

We bought this at Walmart. We had owned a Juiceman that lasted only one year with very moderate use and required a special tool to clean. We didn't want to spend that much money again, but wanted a juicer. This B&D juicer is amazing. It's actually a personal juicer, so don't expect to do large juicing jobs at one time. Some vegetables, like carrots, when juiced in large bunches, require that you clean the juicer before the job is complete. But cleaning is very easy and no tools are required to remove the strainer. The small mouth is deliberate, and prevents overwhelming the motor. You can expect to have to cut large vegetables into smaller pieces to accommodate the small opening, but all these are minor inconveniences. I've used this juicer every day for over a month and it does a great job. It can produce 24 ounces of juice very quickly. Perfect little appliance. Those who are looking for a large-capacity juicer should avoid this one.

Great starter juicer

For someone new to juicing or just want to get a grasp before buying "the big one", this is the perfect starter juicer. It was easy to use. It was easy to take apart and clean. Directions say it is dishwasher safe. I have not tried this yet. The only thing about this unit that is a con, and really not a con, is fruits and veggies need to be cut down to usable size. Cutting down takes all of two minutes. This juicer has a great output. For a 32.00 investment, it's great to see if I'm going to like juicing before sinking 100.00 or more into a big unit. This juicer is compact and powerful. It takes up little counter space. I fully expected to box it up and take it back if it did not perform. I was not disappointed. I did read all the reviews before trying this one. ( I do not understand the bad reviews. Maybe they had their expectations set too high?) This Black and Decker Juicer is not big and fancy. Try it. It's a healthy start.

I purchased this juicer online on 1/21 and received it on 1/24. I was shopping around for a juicer, but refused to pay an arm and a leg for one, so when I came across this one, and saw how reasonable the price was, I thought, "What the heck?" I've only had this juicer for one day, but I've used it a few times already. It's very quick and easy to make juice, not to mention fun! I had my entire family wanting to make juice! The assembling and disassembling are fairly easy, and so is cleanup. I didn't really use the cup that comes with it, I used a bigger container, so that it would hold more juice. I don't really have anything negative to say about this juicer. I saw in some of the other reviews, that there was an issue with leafy vegetables. I put spinach in it, and it juiced just fine. And as far as having to cut the fruits and vegetables into smaller pieces, I don't think is that big of a problem. So, overall, I think this is an excellent juicer. More bang for your buck.

About a month ago, I purchased the Black and Decker Fruit and Vegetable Extractor for about $27.00 at Walmart.com. I see now they are selling it for over $50.00. This is an excellent juicer for someone just starting out. I make about 1 quart of juice per day which fills up the pulp container. The unit is easy to clean and the parts are dishwasher safe. I wish the opening that feeds the fruit/vegetables to the pulverizing blade were wider. It is more time consuming to cut everything up into small pieces. However; the quality of the juice is excellent and I could not have gotten better value for my money. I would highly recommend this to anyone who does not want to spend a lot on those fancy units. Personally, I plan to upgrade to a Breville unit because I juice a lot everyday and I will no longer need to cut everything up into small pieces. The one thing I do really like about the Black and Decker Unit is the high spout. This allows room for a one quart Tupperware container. This product has more than paid for itself in the short time I have had it. BTW the juice is delicious and so healthy, I am hooked.

I have a vitamix that I was using for smoothies, so I didn't feel a need for anything else. My son bought this for Christmas and I have been using it every day. I absolutely love the juice that it produces. Yes, it takes time to clean, yes, the hole is small, but it's worth it. I peel my veggies and fruit onto a paper towel, then use the paper towel to wipe the chunks off of the machine parts. I am so sad, one of my kids put the waste container into the bottom of my dishwasher and melted it. That's why I'm on this site, is to find a replacement. I would recommend this to others.

What an absolute wonderful Surprise! Yes, I had one of those old Singer Juice Giant's! Yikes! Like to have bit my hand off every time. I fought and fought with that thing! Finally broke down and got this one. YES! I LOVE IT! 1/4 less of left over more juice less carrots and runs like a dream! I have figured out over time, to start with the celery or the apples first then go for the carrots, gets it primed, don't know how else to describe it. It seared right through those carrots like a breeze. I didn't have any proble with the left over cup, due to there was hardly any left over! I did end up getting a bigger cup for the juice to get the amount I wanted. Used to have one of those professional expensive juicer. Cleaning was always a mess as well as that Singer. This thing a breeze to clean! Get one of those cheap bristle brushes that have the bristles on both sides, one side bigger other side small (for bottle openings) use the smaller side to clean the silver searer (cuts the produce) (forgot what its called -sorry) if you use this little bristle brush on both sides it cleans quickly and easily! I just always use HOT water no soap! Wonderful maching and so well worth the $30!

The Little Juicer That Could! :o)

Customer review by Muerlin

I wanted a new juicer, tried two Juiceman models and juice yield wasn't impressive and pulp a little too damp. I saw this one at Walmart and I thought "no way could a $30 juicer be great." I was wrong. It's more compact and I'm all for pulp-extraction but not if it's from an oversized container sitting on the back of it. If you're just making juice for one to a few people at once, you don't need it. Or just pause to simply empty the pulp out if you're making a large batch. This one has the right sized container and just rests within the body of the machine. It gets better: Because the feed chute ends very close to the cutting blade (a problem many juicer models need to correct) it doesn't waste chunks of produce. The pulp is drier than about 7 other juices I've owned or tried. I've been using it 1x/day for 2 months now. I still cannot believe this cheap juicer outperforms so many others. The only con is the feed chute is small so I'm cutting thicker parts of carrots in half, apples smaller, etc. No complaint as I'm usually just juicing for myself. Small sacrifice for a compact, quieter juicer. Other tip: clean the screen cold water gentle via a soft or baby toothbrush then store the brush inside the clean pulp extracttion cup if you want. Enjoy!

I watched Fat Sick and Nearly Dead on Amazon Instant Video and I bought a larger more expensive juicer from a diff place. I hated it, it was hard to use, hard to clean, etc. I've been wanting to get back into juicing so I decided to try this little juicer from walmart. I have to say that it's very easy to use, it juiced everything I put in it, and it's easy to clean. The little metal collection/grater thing is hard to clean on all juicers. I'd advise you let it soak in a bowl of hot water then gently brush it with a scrubber. You need to cut up your fruit and veggies, as with any juicer. I juice: beets, carrots, kale, celery, potatoes, apples, lemons, etc. I like to add a few teaspoons of coconut oil to each glass. I save my pickle jars and place one under the spout when I juice. When it's nearly full, I put the lid on and put it in the fridge. I pour it over ice into a solo cup thoughout the day. I also place a napkin under the jar when I juice - usually a few drops leak out. I take the container of leftover solids and mix it with eggs or hamburger meat and cook it and put it in the fridge in little ziploc containers. It makes a quick, healthy microwave meal.

When I was looking around for reviews I noticed that a lot of people had a problem with the small feed and not being able to juice leafy vegetables. I found that the small feed was handled by simply cutting the fruit into pieces, it didn't slow me down the juicing was quick. It does indeed juice green leafy produce I've been juicing mostly kale so I know it does kale very well. What I do is ball the kale up and make it more compact, I also make sure to do the kale first so that other produce can wash the rest of the kale juice out. Every thing that needs to be cleaned comes apart thus cleaning was no problem! I've been doing the reboot your life program and it has been amazing!

This is the 3rd juicer of this brand that I've purchased and given as gifts. I had a Jack Lelane juicer, and it was such a drag to take it apart, clean it and have it take up a large amount of counter space. When I was complaining to my son about it, he mentioned having purchased this little juicer and how he liked it; and the cost was $30! It's a great machine to start your juicing journey on. If you decide you don't want to continue juicing, or only juice occasionally, it's great, too, because you don't feel like you've wasted a bunch of money by purchasing a $100+ machine, that sits around because you've decided you don't want to juice anymore!

Good Juicer For Beginners
9/21/2013

Customer review by ItypeWords

4.0 stars 9/21/2013 by ItypeWords

I bought this juicer because I wanted to start drinking more fresh juices. In general I'm into health and holistic wellness. I didn't want to buy an expensive juicer because I was not sure how often I would use it. This juicer works well for hardier fruits and vegetables such as carrots and apples. I find that it is really easy to juice them, although I do make sure to cut them into thin strips. The mouth feed isn't very large so you cannot stick anything large into it. I also find precut melons to be easy to juice. I do not think this juicer is good for berries. I feel like it wastes a lot of the berry and it ends up in the clear collection container with much of its juice still in the berry flesh. I would also not suggest this for wheatgrass or anything of this nature. I also noticed that if you plan on doing a lot of juicing (like a gallon container) that it is quite tedious as you will need to stop and clean out the juicer from time to time. The clean up is my least favorite part. It can be tricky to get all of the fruit/vegetable fibers out of all the parts, and trust me the fibers will get into every part of the machine. - Make sure you clean it well even if you plan on putting it into the dishwasher. Overall this is a good starter machine.

  • A. This machine works as well with watermelon, grapes, or blueberries as it does with most other fruits. However, I find that the pulp is pretty wet afterwards and I can still squeeze more juice out of it. You may find you would be happier with a better model.

  • A. I didn't get a lot of juice from the watermelon, or blueberries. I am not sure if that is the case with all juicers, but i was dissapointed. Carrots, oranges, apples, cillary, and almost all other fruit and vegies produced a lot of juice. Bananas were another fruit that didn't produce enough juice either.

  • A. No. I've tried to wrap spinach and kale around a piece of celery. It gets complicated and because those veggies are soft (vs carrot structure) it's a pain to do that. This is a great juicer for carrot/celery/apple/beet, those kinds of harder fruits and veggies.

  • A. Greens are no problem. The handbook says that bananas and avocados produce a puree, not juice.

  • A. Yep, you can juice any vegetable or fruit. Just make sure you cut the vegetable down (e.g. banana, apple,). Kale works great. Its so much easier to juice these vegetables than eat them. Enjoy.

  • A. It juices kale wonderfully from my experience! If you have trouble, ball the kale up and juice it first.

  • A. I never tried bananas as the manual says it makes them into a puree not a juice. But it started out okay with spinach. I found that the hardier Kale taxed the motor a lot but made quite a bit of juice.

  • A. I have definitley juiced spinach and kale, works well with those! I have a tougher time with "high" juice fruits and veggies, it tends to clog up and leak :(

  • A. Yes , but you have to use a lot of greens ,spinach and kale to get enough juice . Don't know about the bananas though :)

  • A. It says on the manual that juicing soft fruit like bananas or avocados will make a puree, not a juice. I have juiced mint with this machine, and it worked well, but juicing larger greens like kale may be difficult because the chute is small.

  • A. I had great luck with tomatoes! I like to make a gazpacho juice drink and it works well. However, expect to get less juice from this machine than a more expensive product

  • A. When it comes to soft items like tomato, orange etc. there is one problem. Some juice comes out from the gap between the pulp holder and the juicer body. The ppulp is not fully dry either. My husband loves orange apple juice. So I throw in a few pieces of apple, carrot and 2/3 wedges of an orange in every batch and it works fine. Just oranges is a mess.

  • A. No, by the nature of it's design and function, you'd be better blending the tomatoes and then use a strainer for tomato juice. The blade basket is spinning at a high speed and the tomato is too soft for this. harder fruits/veggies is what this is for.

  • A. From experience it did ok juicing a tomato but it kind of makes more of a puree than a juice. You may have to strain it.
