I got some of this for my dog and was putting half of this and half of her regular Iams in her bowl for the transition, she would nudge the Iams out of the way and only eat the Nutrish. She loves it!! No more Iams for her, plus I think this is cheaper than Iams anyway!!

I have an 8yr old Boxer and a 5yr old Papillon and recently switched their food to Nutrish after receiving a sample in the mail. They both love it and are making huge improvements. I see my Boxer being more playful than she has been in about 4 years and my Papillon's fur is a lot softer and his weight is finally under control. This food is a bit more expensive than I really could afford but knew that the added health benefits would be worth it in the long run. I have tried all kinds of other foods but have not been able to find one until now that my Boxer would eat really good for longer than a month or so. She is extremely finicky when it comes to her food but still continues to eat constantly and she has been on it for almost 7 months.

  • Yes, but beef or chicken is the main ingredient. there is very little vegetable material in Nutrish.

  • After reading the ingredients on the bag, I did not see anything about wheat. The ingredients does include cornmeal, oatmeal, and brown rice. Hope this helps!

  • Well I have a sample bag of Rachael Ray Nutrish Healthy Weight Recipe with Real Turkey & Veggies right in front of me and the 5th ingredient listed is ground corn...the 8th ingredient is Corn Gluten Meal.I just got the sample in the mail today. Why do they have to put that stuff in anyway, why can't they just leave it out! I will write her and ask. Thanks!

  • Sadly it has both corn meal and corn gluten. It's a pretty good dog food, but that and the brewer's rice takes away from it. If your dog has problem with corn and wheat, try the Iams Simple and Naturals found here, or the pricier but excellent Newman's Own Organics dog food.
