My wife and I have three dogs and they love dragging dirt in the house. The youngest one still has accidents here and there and will leave small stains. This machine cleaned up everything and made the carpet look brand new again!!! Would highly recommend to anybody that has pets!! 12/21/2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by AWSOME! I read the reviews on this steam cleaner and decided to get it. Assembly was a breeze, not like some of the other reviews said. I have cleaned all of my friends chairs with it and it did great. I love that the hose for the attachments is connected to the unit, and all it takes is a flip of the switch to use it. I have used others where you have to take some things off, plug in this and that to get the hose and attachments ready for use. I also love that is has 3 settings, rinse, normal and heavy. I also used it on some stains on my inlaws carpet and they came right out. The built in heater in the bottom is great, it dries the cartpet a little as you shampoo. The soap despenser is easy to use as well, just pour it in and your done. No need to measure, to make sure you have the correct amount of soap for the amount of water you are useing. This is a great product for the price, and does its job well. 11/25/2010

Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointing Had the proheat clean shot...amazing machine. My dog chewed the wire so I had to get another and thought I'd save some money. Big mistake. You have to put the handle in a reclining position in order to take out the water tank. No handle to carry up and down the stairs. One row of bristles didn't clean well. No clean shot. Don't waste your money, spend a little more and upgrade to the proheat clean shot. I returned it the next day. 03/28/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by great cleaner for the price i have read the bad reviews on this product and then bought one anyway.. it turns out to work great and sucks the dirt and cat smell right out of my carpets.. however if you are cheap and expect this great little machine to clean up your pig pen with 3 dogs and 2 cats in it then you better go ahead and spend that 400 dollars for a rug doctor . if you treat the machine like it was a 150 dollars then i dont think you have to worry about premature falure. oh and perhaps vacuum before trying to clean the carpet 04/03/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by I purchased this steam cleaner about a month ago after my other Bissel of 10 years finally broke. Thus far, I have cleaned all the carpeted areas in my 3200 sq home. The cleaner has done a wonderful job! I have one dog who creates most of the mess on my living room carpet. This cleaner eliminated all of her mess. So far so good with this cleaner! 10/21/2012

Now i don't know about the durability yet because I just used it today. But if it works like it did today a year from now, it was well worth the purchase. IT HAS VERY SKIMPY BELTS HOLDING ON THE MAIN BRUSH/ROLLER. IF THEY WERE WIDER & THICKER, THEY WOULD LAST LONGER. BUT THANK GOD BELTS R CHEAP. WHEN I GET A BELT 4 IT, I'M BUYING A FEW AT A TIME. JUST LIKE WITH VACUUMS & OTHER CLEANERS, ONCE U SMELL THAT BURNT RUBBER SMELL, IT MEANS THAT A BELT BROKE. THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED WITH MINE. BUT OTHER THAN THAT, IT WORKS LIKE A DREAM. Rated 5 out of 5 by Clean Carpets :) This machine was easy to assemble and in a pretty purple. I got a new puppy...so as you can imagine it has been in frequent use! Not only does it do a great job of picking up new messes, I was able to get an old coffee stain out of my carpet. I even brought my steam cleaner to the office and cleaned all the office carpets. It's not going to remove non-solvable solutions like motor oil, but on everyday stains it works great! **All you pet owners VACCUM and VACCUM WELL!** It will take care of the rest! 07/03/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by CLEANS WELL!!!! Bought this to replace an older Bissell green machine that got years of use, It works well! And I have a household that has a yellow lab that sheds a 5 year old that dumped sand in hallway, and too top it off I live in a dusty area and it cleans well. The only down fall is you will have to refill often which I have had to do with most my steam cleaners, The one thing I did notice was it is easier to push than my Vacuum, that I love! Rated 5 out of 5 by This Bissell Proheat Pet upright deep cleaner is the best rug cleaner I ever used outside of the large professional one you can rent. I have two puppies and used the Bissell shampoo for dogs with a odor control. The machine was flawless and cleaned, brightened and refreshed my carpets with ease. The brushes lifted the carpet up and cleaned out the dirt and stains while the suction drew up all the dirty water into the tank. Within a couple of hours my carpet was clean, dry and smelled beautiful. Great product, great price! 06/06/2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Great when it works, but you better be handy I've had this cleaner for 2 years now and I was very satisfied at first, but it needed it's first repair after a year. I use this thing about 4 times a year and have already had to replace the water pump and now the beaterbar and the belts. The parts cost about about $50.00 and while the beaterbar was a fairly straightforward install, the waterpump install involved pretty much a complete teardown. I don't consider it a very sturdy unit, or at least it wasn't in my case. Be prepaired to be able to work on this machine, or throw it away shortly after the warranty expires. 06/04/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by MUCH better than HOOVER!! I recently bought this after my hoover steam(if you want to call it that) cleaner bit the big one after only 2 weeks. I bought the spinscrub model and the brushes stopped working. Isn't that the reason people buy it????? The brushes were not even powered by a belt(very cheaply made#, but by hot air. My experience with bissell has been that they are powered the right way.#with belts# Anyway, I have had this product for a couple of weeks now and it is a gem! It has very powerful brushes and you don't have to go through so much to change to the handtool.#like the Hoover# It is very good at getting out stains and we have 2 dogs and a cat. This model also heats up tap water#unlike the hoover that just has hot air blowing out of the bottom), so you really get a heated clean of your carpets. If you are deciding between a hoover and a Bissell, I would go with Bissell. If you decide on the Hoover, I warned you about it.......... 05/25/2012

I am having family coming in from out of state and I was due anyway for my carpets to be cleaned and my dog got sick and vomitted everywhere, now they reallyl needed to be cleaned, so I really did not want to do them myself, I wanted to hire a professional and i could not get anyone out to my house in the short time that I needed them too. So I decided to rent the Rug Dr and It really did not do a good cleaning on my carpets. So after the carpets were dried the rugs look dirty again. I was so disappointed, paying $25.00 to rent the machine and chemicals. So I decided to do some research and make the investment in my own machine and after reading several reviews and researching I decided to purchase this machine. My husband put it together and it is so easy to assembly and to use. I was so amazed on how clean my carpet got, it does clean deep down and it was pulling dog hair out of the carpets that the vacumn alone was not getting. I have berber carpets and they look new again. It only took at few hours to dry and the stains did not come back, nor is there any dirt lifting back up to the suface on the carpet. The only thing I will say is you have to have patience cause it did feel like every five minutes I was empting out that nastly dirty water and refilling, so you do need patience, which at first I did not have, but after cleaning for a while and seeing the way it was working my patience got so much better. I just totally love cleaning my carpets now. I hav enot used the attachments yet, but I am looking forward to trying them out on my couch real soon. Totally worth the investment, especially is you have dogs. 05/20/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great quality for price Before buying this carpet cleaner, I compared several others online. This one was the best value for the features it had. When our dog had a bladder infection, she had a few accidents on the beige carpet in our closet. With one use of this machine, the stains and smell were completely gone without even pre-treating the area. The tanks are very easy to fill and empty, and all the features are easy to figure out too. My only complaint was that a small amount of assembly is required but nothing more than what you can do in 5 minutes with a screwdriver. Overall, we are very pleased with this Bissell! 05/18/2012

After reading reviews after reviews about different carpet cleaners, I took a chance on the bissell proheat deep cleaner and let me tell you, this machine meets all my expectations and much more. I cleaned stains off my carpet that i thought could never come out, My carpet looks fresh and it dries fast due to the built in heater, very light weight durable. Rated 4 out of 5 by Cleans even my carpet! I have boys and dogs, and we live in a rainy area, so my carpet can be a challenge. The carpet cleaner worked well to remove even old stains. It worked better if I pre-treated the worst areas. In my case, I had to refill the water every 4 square feet or so, which was time-consuming. The tank is easy to clean and refill, though. The carpet cleaner has a nice long cord, but the hose for the tools keeps falling off and getting in the way. 03/12/2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by could be better... could be a lot worse My girlfriend and I purchased this machine a while back and used it to clean our living room, a hallway, and three bedrooms. The process went well. Set up was pretty simple, less than 10 minutes from out of the box to assembly, to reviewing the instructions and giving it a try. I was very happy with the way it pulled the pet hair up from deep in the carpet. We have 2 dogs over 100 lbs. each, so a lot of hair came up. The machine did well on the carpets except the real high traffic area at the top of my steps. Other than having to go over it numerous times, in that one area, the rest was simple. If your looking for a machine to do a good job at a cheap price and one that does well on pet hair, then this is worth a try. 03/11/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best investment I have made in years! I wish I would have bought this a long time. Between a clutsey teenager and 2 cats, our carpet was a nightmare!! I used the pretreat before cleaning, and our carpet looks like new. All the dark spots are gone, that spilled soda that wasn't cleaned properly before I got home, and all the spots the cats left behind....gone! Carpet looked 10 years old and now it's amazingly clean. 03/11/2012

I can honestly say I looked at this one for a month before actually buying it, but chose it due to lack of funds and.......I COULDNT BE HAPPIER!!!! I have 3 kids and a dog and this thing works great. I did have to use the spot remover a bit to help get tough stains out but hey its ok. The only thing i had an issue with is it does continue to drip the soap solution out even after its off.....easy fix, flip the solution thing upside down to store it. Rated 1 out of 5 by Worked fine.... for a while. I absolutely loved this when I first bought it. It picked up pet hair wonderfully, and really deep-cleaned the carpet. Unfortunately, after just a few uses (about six) the brush stopped spinning so well (despite cleaning the hair out of it) and then the belt broke. Then the real problem. The belt is basically impossible to replace! I followed the instructions exactly and could not find a way to put the belt on. The bottom of the machine does not come off, so it's impossible to remove the spinning brush to put the belt on. I eventually broke one of the plastic bits trying to do so, and the entire machine was ruined. So disappointed with the usability and quality of this rather large purchase. I would strongly recommend avoiding this machine. 03/04/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love it! This is my first carpet cleaner so I have nothing to compare it to, therefore I give it 4 stars. Our household has over 4 pets and 2 kids. I use it almost everyday to spot clean with the attachment where the kids spill drinks. I was able to clean the dog stink from our couches also. It was very easy to put together. I have had this machine for almost a month now and it's still working great, with daily use. Unfortunately our carpets have never been cleaned and it's very old carpet so I doubt the years worth of dirt and debris will come out. My only problem is it leaves a little bit of water when I go to store it after use. I am not sure if this is a fault with this particular machine or all carpet cleaners. 02/15/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by LOVE IT! I took a bit of time review many different cleaners for quality, features, and price. I finally settled on this one which I am completely satisfied with. I chose it mainly for features and price, like everyone of course. I love that it heats the water while cleaning so it is always hot. That the cleaning solution goes in a separate container then mixes with water when button is pushed, this is very nice so there is no waste. I also enjoy the different concentrations of cleaning solution that can be used, full amount, half amount, and straight hot water to rinse with. Now I haven't used the wand yet but I am a little annoyed it doesn't want to stay hooked in place, but this is a minor detail compared to the other nice features and price. Also I thought that the bladder inside the catching container would be annoying, but I am pleasantly surprised that it is not. I 100% recommend this to whoever is questioning which one to get. My carpets are so clean and the price was wonderful! 02/13/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beat my expectations! Although I just bought this, I used it as soon as I got home and let me tell you, it WOWED me with the results! I have 4 children and 2 boxers and this little miracle made my carpets glow (couldn't believe all the pet hair that came up)! I would also like to mention that I had to pull it out AGAIN because one of my "housebroken" pooches decided to use the living room as his potty (so not cool). It is very easy to use, light weight and the hand tool does an excellent job on stairs. The only drawbacks so far are the fact it could be a little easier to clean the bottom after using, and the water tank could be bigger. Other than that I am VERY pleased with this purchase!!! 02/13/2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by I do not recomend this product Have had this cleaner for less than a year and now it won't work. Have only used it a maximum of 15 times. Every use, had to dissasemble and clean the parts or it got stagnant/too much pet hair built up. We have 2 cats and a small dog. Now for some reason its not spraying any water at all. Can't return it as the warranty is no good, 30 days is ridiculous. No one would use this enough in 30 days to realise its no good. It worked good the first few times, so maybe if you used it once a year... I do not recomend this product though, there has to be better ones out there. 01/21/2012
