Rated 2 out of 5 by fishlover46 Great...if it wasn't smashed to pieces
Shipped very quickly using site to store. I was excited to open it up to find it was broken into multiple pieces and pieces of plastic were everywhere. If it was in one piece, I would have been pretty happy with it. What a shame. Obviously, it's not very durable in shipping.
Rated 1 out of 5 by kakakak save your money dont buy this
after setting it up with all the fish and decorations and filling it with water i observed the tank leaks near the black band the JUNK filter stopped working after three days. PEOPLE PLEASE TAKE MY WORD FOR IT DO NOT BUY THIS SAVE YOUR MONEY.... FOR TEN DOLLARS MORE U CAN GET A 10 GALLON TANK KIT WITH A REAL FILTER at almost any pet store
Rated 1 out of 5 by Starsandstripes1016 Can't give much of a survery
I can't give much of a survey because my tank came to me broken in the mail. Huge crack on the tank side and I got really upset. I returned it the day I received and had to buy a second choice tank. Not very happy.
Rated 1 out of 5 by onegreatlife You get what you pay for in aquaria~
Arrived broken and made entirely out of super cheap plastic.
Rated 4 out of 5 by JayAreGee Nice Display Tank
Makes a nice office aquarium (what I am using it for) or a display aquarium for a showy fish like a Betta.
It comes come with the tank, filter, and hood. You will need to add gravel, decorations (plants, rocks, etc...) and possibly a heater if you plan to keep tropical fish.
If you are thinking of giving this to someone, particularly a child, as a first aquarium; I would recommend you consider a larger kit (like 10 or 20 gallons). There are two reasons: 1) a tank this small is only suitable for 1-4 fish depending on how big they are (rule of thumb 1 inch of adult fish length per gallon of water) and 2) it is actually more work to take care of an aquarium this small than it is to take care of a larger tank (i.e. the smaller the tank, the quicker things go bad).
Rated 3 out of 5 by harvesterchick Product is very nice looking, but cheaply made. Will most likely replace the filter with something of better quality.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pickles03 Nice product for price!!!
This product is a very good value. I was looking at simular tank for 3 times the amount. Easy to set up.
Rated 4 out of 5 by CarolynMarie12 Very Good Value
I bought this tank for my dorm room, it looks really nice on my roommates and I's desk. The filter is very quiet and the tank looks a lot bigger than 5 gallons. For a poor college kid buying on a budget this was a very good deal!
Rated 5 out of 5 by puci Just the right size.
I needed a small aquarium for one fish, and this one fit the bill.
Rated 5 out of 5 by NewPetPerson Very nice beginners aquarium
I needed something to put 2 gold fish in and purchased this aquarium a week ago. I thought the filtering was going to produce too many bubbles but the water was great after running all night as instructions requested. Easy to set up. I now have two very happy gold fish.
Rated 4 out of 5 by BAM91 Very good quality for the money!
Quiet filter, looks bigger than it is, can easily hold my two goldfish. Love it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by CookieMama nice aquarium - poor filter
We had our goldfish in a glass tank for 2 yrs. and this one is much nicer looking but the filter is weak. Don't feel the filter works as well as our old one.

I got this fish tank for my one betta fish (Ponyo) and she loves it!! The only thing.. I thought it came with rocks and fake plants, but it didn't. But my daughter and I picked rocks out of the driveway and rinsed them and Ponyo doesn't seem to mind at all!

Rated 1 out of 5 Arrived With Scratches
We were looking forward to setting up this reasonably priced and well-rated tank, but it arrived covered in scratches--Including one of two inches right down the front of the tank. Now we'll need to return it and start all over again. I don't think I'll be ordering another, as I don't want to go through the potential hassle of mailing another one back.
I've given the tank two stars only because it had potential, such potential. . . .
Rated 1 out of 5 by CutieSam Not very durable
I purchased this item at the Walmart website and it arrived with a large crack in the front. The acrylic didn't seem very durable. So I got a refund at the store and found a better one there. I purchased the Aqueon 10 Gallon Basic Aquarium Kit. I got the 10 gallon one because the price difference between the 5 gallon and the 10 gallon was only about $10. So I went with the bigger one. Also this one is much more well made as it's made of glass instead of acrylic.

It is very nice looking. It was purchased for my grandson for Christmas. He should really be surprised, and excited.
Rated 5 out of 5 by GlitzyGlassStudio Fantastic Starter for Betta
I just set this aquarium up for our little Betta I had another set up, but the lights burned out and I could not find a replacement anywhere - not even the store I bought it from! I purchased this one and made sure the light was easy to repurchase. I am so very happy with this aquarium - it was easy to set up and the lid lifts easily and has slots for my heater etc... The filter is so quiet , which is great because this is set up in my grand-daughter's bedroom. She is thrilled and so am I!!

I needed a small aquarium for my little boys fish and he loves it. It sets up easy and looks pretty with his fish and accessories. Fit really well on a bedside table.
Rated 5 out of 5 by rcaljr Great starter aquarium.
For under $25 this is a great little aquarium. Easy to set up and looks very stylish. Found the same one and similar aquariums selling for between $59 and $89 elsewhere. This is a great deal.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Sellsseashells Not what it appears
I was disappointed as I purchased this based on others comments. The "power filter" is an air pump that you have to put charcol in the tiny basket. I happened to have some, but I did have to purchase a filter as an air pump and filter are two totally different things. Also, I did not get a hinged lid. The light assembly sits on top of the tank unattached and has a plastic rectangular plate that fits inside the top lid to keep water off the light. It is hard to get things in and out of that area as the whole lid does not come off. I also had to go to three stores to get the right sized bulb for the light. All in all, it cost me around $50 as I had to buy the filter and bulb. For that amount I would have gotten something else.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pkidmom Perfect for kids classroom or bedroom
Easy to set up, great value, perfect for classrooms or bedroom, wonderful find, thanks Walmart
Rated 5 out of 5 by Joycie54 The lighting that comes with the tank is nice and bright. It's the perfect size for a starter tank for children.
Rated 5 out of 5 by jlsmack I don't know why some people think this is a awful product. to keep the water clear you should have an under gravel filter. My tank looks great and my fish are doing great. Much better than the 3 gallon tank I had them in. I would recommend this tank to anyone who wants to upgrade but don't have a lot of spec for a larger fish tank.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Funshopper1234 5 Gallon Fish Tank
I am so pleased with my new fish tank. It is small but because of the angles it looks much larger. I purchased black rocks with color specs and got 3 artificial plants. I still need to get something cute to put in it for the fish to swim through. I haven't got the fist yet but will in the next couple of days...need to get the best place in the house for my aquarium. I plan to get 3 pretty fish to go in. It seems Beta fish are popular but it looks like they need to be in alone, so I plan to get some type of gold fish or the like. I don't want to spend a lot of money on them. I ordered this on line and picked up at the store. It was there much faster than expected and they are so accommodating at the store. I love to buy through Walmart.com.
Rated 5 out of 5 by WVmommaX2 Great aquarium for children
Purchased this for my 5 year old that won a goldfish at the local fair. Perfect size and seems to be very durable. Great price, and shipped to me very quickly.
Rated 3 out of 5 by KAB23 I bought this tank for 2 small fish as it had great reviews. I have had many fish over the years and I thought this tank would be great for these fish. It started out great but soon the water got cloudy.. I would clean it and within a week the water was dirty again. I changed the filter and nothing.. I finally talked to someone in the store and they told me that the pump needs to be bigger!! The one that comes with the tank it good for a 1.5 gallon tank. I had to spend more money and get a bigger pump!!! Don't bother with this tank if you plan on putting more then one fish in it!!!
