Customer Product Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5★ by 2reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Another Great Stormy Mansion Movie This is a pretty good "dark mansion" movie, done by the Lost Skeleton people. "Anamala" gets the chance to be the lead actor, and does not drop the ball. Lots of laughs, fun dialogue, some "scary" moments, and a neat ending. Great family fun!!! 09/18/2010
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Stormy Weather This movie is an homage to the old 'dark house' movies of earlier years of cinema: murders, everyone is a suspect, etc. When watching, you have to learn to accept that in this particular movie is all done very 'tongue and cheek' and shouldn't be taken seriously. That being said, it's still a good film on its own, which is why I added it to my collection.Larry Blamire directed and plays a role in the tale, along with his wife, Jennifer Blaire. Most of the ensemble cast show-up in other of Blamire's works: The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra I and II and The Trail of the Screaming Forehead and they all know their parts very well. Each carefully chosen actor portrays a stereotyped caricature from the early days: the New York cabbie, the over anxious newspaper reporter(s), stuffy butler, loony psychic and wealthy, stuffy philanthropist with a gorilla thrown in for good measure (Why the gorilla? Because Larry always wanted to make a movie with a gorilla in it).Anyway, I'm not saying this movie is Oscar material, but it's a lot of fun and full of nostalgia. The other movies I mentioned are also worth checking out. 02/15/2011
