Rated 4 out of 5 by Carolritag Product is easy to assemble and works very well. Just be careful to not over heat as it will shut off automatically and you'll have to wait 30 minutes before using again. Check the dirt collector canister often to make sure when it needs to be empty. Would've liked a little less weight, but the product does the job and that's what truly counts.
Rated 4 out of 5 by lady30 it seems to work really good and has a lot of suction my only complaint would be that the hose is really short, making it difficult to use the hose and the attachments.
Rated 5 out of 5 by crfcny Great for pet hair
I am very happy with the vacum's performance. The hose could be a bit longer. However, over all , good bargain for the price.
Rated 5 out of 5 by dave1609 Bought for daughter. She loves it as a 3 cat owner it picks up all the hair and was very easy to put together with just very basic tools. Would recommend to anybody that needs a vacuum with pets.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Molnut Wonderful, whether or not you have pets.
I didn't realize how poorly my old vacuum was working until I used the WindTunnel Pet!! AND so easy to assemble and empty.
Rated 4 out of 5 by talihawk Great but DOESN'T have BristledPowered Hand Tool
Ordered this online after much research between various models and brands. Works great, most concerns about it being a bit heavy and the hose being very difficult to use are correct. It was AMAZING to see just how much dust and hair it picked up. I'm hoping the hose will limber up after more uses. The suction seems to help it contract in. I used a spare extender attachment to extend the reach and that's worked great thus far. Cleaning the dust container is messy, but really, just do it outside. The container is easy to disconnect and not heavy. Just use a paint brush or dust fluffer to clean the bin. This is going to be an issue with ANY bagless vacuum. Other wise my only real disappointment was the fact the Powered Hand tool PICTURED on the box and on the various web pages is NOT the type actually included. It's missing the bristles that run along the top. The manual and a few spots do claim 'model varies ' and I called up customer service and they seemed very used to this complaint. Hoover, please use the correct photos on the boxes and web pages! It might be a small issue but the hand tools were one of the things I was specifically looking at between the various brands and models. It's not worth returning over but I would have been much happier with it. Will update on it's continued performance! All things considered I'd recommend it.
Rated 5 out of 5 by IrishPat Great vacuum for pet hair and everyday.
This vacuum has no problem cleaning my carpet of long dog fur, my very long hair which seems to get onto the carpets here and there, grass and even sand that gets tracked in from outside. It has excellent suction, very easy to handle and one of the things I really like about it is the height of it. I am tall and I don't find myself bending over to vacuum. It is so easy to empty and has a retractable cord. There are more positive things I could say but I would just as easily say buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Had a Hoover for about ten years; motor went out and suction through hose was bad. Looked at a popular rating magazine which gave a high rating to this model. The features I particularly like:
-Can change to brushless mode for hard flooring
-Attachment with rotating brush great for pet hair
-Easy to empty dust bin
-Fold down handle for easy storage
What can I say! Lot of plastic parts, but so was my old Hoover (seems all products have much plastic these days).
Rated 4 out of 5 by ReallyhappyJ Good! Really picks up, not too heavy
I did not realize how bad my previous vaccum was. This vaccum has delivered so far. Really picks up my pet's hair from the carpet and floors. And it is not too heavy, easy to push through.
Rated 4 out of 5 by spincah picks up an AMAZING amount of pet hair. Just what I needed it to do
Rated 5 out of 5 by 2horsegal Great for pet hair!
I am really satisfied with our new vacuum. We have a husky mix and she is dropping fur everywhere, so it has been a blessing to be able to quickly clean it up not only off the floor, but the furniture as well. I also like how easy it is to empty since I have to do it often because of the dog. The retractable cord and fold down handle are just 2 bonuses that I could live without, but are very nice features.
Rated 5 out of 5 by micheem Great suction!
What a difference from my old vacuum - glad my old one broke so I could feel the difference that this one has in suction power! Now that I have 2 dogs I needed a vacuum that could handle the immense amount of dog hair on my couches and hardwood floor and rugs, and this vacuum can handle the job. What used to take me half an hour to vacuum my couches, with the special pet hair removal upholstery thingamajig, now takes half the time (this thing practically took off my finger though, so be careful). And vacuuming my rug and floor is a breeze, so needless to say, I'm a pretty happy camper. The only downside I'd say I've found so far is that the hair tends to bunch up in the canister, so I had to use anything long to swish it around to dislodge the hair so that I could fully empty the canister, and because the suction is so powerful the vacuum accidentally got to my curtain and burned the end of it.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Drew12345678910 Good sweeper. Picks up everything and works great with dog hair. Bagless canister isn't that great when you empty. Next sweeper I will get the same model but with bag. Overall good purchase.

We own a vacation rental on Deal Island . Recently had to find a replacement for our vacuum.
Our caretaker can't stopping raving about this vacuum. We started accepting dogs this year and this machine takes care of pet hair with no problems. Suction is very strong. He says it picked up dirt our old vacuum left behind.
Rated 4 out of 5 by friskytiger Only used it one time so far, although I did use in every room includeing on furniture (yes we have a dog who gets hair everywhere) it does much better than the old Bissel that was not made for pets but the old Bissel did pretty good throughout the past years. My very first spot I tried with my new Hoover was our HVAC air intake vents aprox 4ft x 4ft, metal vents that get pretty dusty (the Hoover will NOT pull the dust from the vents, WOW ), the attachments focus to much on pet hair by being hard rubber (jury still out in my book if that really is any good, hard rubber picking up pet hair?), it would probably be a good idea to have brush type attachment also.
Rated 1 out of 5 by pinklady84 Bad vacuum
I hate this vacuum. The hose is way too short and when you use the upright suction it hardly picks anything up. This is a pet vac so maybe it's only made to pick up light items like fur? I had trouble picking up cat litter, those garbage twisty ties, and even a small paper clip. Pushed the vacuum over the last two items a few times and it just wouldn't pick up! The only thing I liked was the attachments because they pick up fur off the upholstery very well. I have gotten cheaper vacuums and they worked much better. I will be returnig this.

Vacuum had obviously been opened, resealed and returned. No owners manual and vacuum dirt cup was broken. Returned to store for refund.
Rated 2 out of 5 by wantgoodquality Bad design!
Very powerful, but poorly made. The canister gasket does not fit snug so it leaks. The latch that holds the top (washable) filter housing to the canister does not stay latched. The vacuum head is not level (it came like that). Aside from the leak it works well for now, but for how long? Hoover could have had better quality control on this design.
Rated 1 out of 5 by madhal When putting together the top of the canister would not stay latched. Never even plugged the machine in. Do not feel that it would have held up. Went back to Wal-Mart and got an Eureka that was in stock. So far I really like it.

Bought this item today. Took it out box. Plugged it in and would not work. For a product right out to the box not to work for this price. Garbage. Dont waste your time or money.
Rated 5 out of 5 by invain1 great product
easy to assemble right out of the box, just one screw for the handle. the manual is not very informative but is easy to figure out. anxious to try it out and it was not picking up anything, as the manual mentions though by default the rollers are in off position. It is nice to be able to turn the rollers off for use of the attachments and the pet attachments work great. this is a powerful machine and not heavy like a Kirby and is easy to maneuver. the flex tube is too short and a pain to use even after putting on the extender, but works great for removing hair from clothing and jackets no more gadgets such as roller tape as the pet attachment is awesome. The other downfalls are that the canister is messy when emptying and it is pretty much all plastic so must be careful as not to break anything and the cord could be a little longer. I highly recommend this machine as we have gone through a lot of cleaners and dog hair is really hard on vacuums, this one picks up great has a lot of power and is not as heavy and loud as other vacuums. I would also add that the handle goes pretty far down for getting under a table and the rewind is great and not as bad as some have mentioned. My original search was for a Dyson pet, but could not bring myself to spend that much.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lionlady1966 Great Vacuum for Pets
This is sucking up cat hair that my Dyson didn't do!!! The cord rewind feature takes a little bit of getting used to because I keep unplugging the vacuum when I tug on the cord. It was easy to assemble--even for me. I barely ran it over the living room carpet and sofa the first time I used it, and the canister was full of hair. Impressive! I'm now using this vacuum on the main floor and the Dyson has been relegated to the upstairs.
Rated 5 out of 5 by CLEANLADY1 hoover still has the best vacuum
Have always bought hoover .But got swayed with all the ads for another brand. Big mistake this vacuum has it hands down .And it was three hundred less then my last one i bought only 8 months ago that has been repaired twice in that 8 months I will always stick with the old dogs from now on LOVE MY HOOVER!!!
Rated 5 out of 5 by Americanmade Awesome Vacuum for pets
I bought this vacuum two years ago and it's still going stong. I have 3 dogs and a cat, so it is put to the every day. It does great with pet hair and is very easy to clean. The only thing I have had to do to it since I have had it is replace all the filters (since I have more then one pet the filters started to smell). It's about $25 -$30 to replace all filters which is not bad since they have lasted two years.
Rated 4 out of 5 by rainyy great
So far I would give this product two thumbs up. It's light weight. It's easy to use. I love the pet pick up attachment. This vacuum sucks the cat hair and dirt like there is no tomorrow. I have used it twice and had to take the hose to the catch cylinder and filter. I didn't know my old vacuum sucked that bad or not sucked I should say.
Rated 5 out of 5 by slick54 If you have pets... this is the machine for you.
Great vacuum, the tools and equipment accessibility is extremely convenient. Very versatile, light weight with surprising power and suction. Great deal for the money.
Rated 1 out of 5 by TESS Frustrating
My husband bought this thinking that it was going to be just like the Bissell Lift Off that we had. With 2 dogs that shed, I find my time is better spent sweeping. The cord is too short to clean large rooms and due to the inept engineering design, the canister gets full quickly. I spend way too much time emptying and then having to clean the mess that is created when I do. Whoever designed this obviously does not clean their house.
Rated 5 out of 5 by RickiGoodfellah My wife loves it!
Works better than the Dyson we just replaced it with, at 1/3 the cost. The next question is how long will it last? Time will tell; but if it is 3-5 years we will be happy....
Rated 4 out of 5 by PriyaB So far so good!
We've had this for a few weeks now and so far it's been great, especially for the price. It works great on the carpet and bare floor. The attachments are easy to use and convenient for cleaning pet hair off couch cushions and other hard to reach places. It's been easy to clean, although I haven't had to clean the filter yet so I can't comment on that. I like the fold-able handle and cord retraction, makes it easy to store in our 2-bedroom apartment.
Rated 4 out of 5 by ssouthwick At first I was skeptical that this vacuum cleaner could suck up the hair off my couch. After all, my cat sheds A LOT. But the vacuum cleaner does the job well. It is quite loud but there is no more cat hair on my couch and my hardwood floors seem cleaner. You can change the settings and use the different tools depending on what surface you are cleaning. I am happy with my purchase.
