This vacuum is cute, but that's about all. It does not pick up well on carpets so if your house is carpet throughout like mine, then this is not what you want to buy. You'll be wasting time going over one spot just to suck up dirt. It took me nearly thirty minutes just to vacuum my small living room when I can usually do it in five with a regular vacuum. Good price but that's about it.

You get what you pay for. The product information was very misleading. This vacuum does not work there is very little suction. It may work as a hand vacumm.

I assembled this stick vacuum and plugged it in. It doesn't work. Eventually, I will return it. But I had to buy another product in its place

I love how light this is! Easy to handle and take apart. Picks up even when moving quickly. Only issue is the cord isn't that long.

I purchased this light weight vacuum cleaner to keep in my basement to vacuum up litter my cat tracks out of the box...it works well; it does work better on hard wood/tile floors, but it still does an adequate job for the reason I purchased it...I like that it is electric (although you can take it apart and use like dust buster which is great for stairs)...I'm glad I purchased this..price is right and I will be getting one for my elderly Mother who needs a light weight vacuum for small task.

Bought this as a bundle deal along with a Bissell steam carpet cleaner. I thought this would be a good replacement for my old rechargeable stick vac I use in our cabin as it doesn't hold a charge very long anymore. I was sorely disappointed! This vac is toy like and doesn't even pick up loose dog hair off a bare floor! It's also about the size and weight of a toy. Truly, an old fashioned roll around carpet sweeper would do a better job than this. I have had many Dirt Devil vacuums of various kinds in the past and was pleased with the quality, but if this is indicative of any of their other products I won't buy another one. My advice is don't waste your money!

I just love this dirt devil and you can use it in your auto! I use this in my kitchen where I have an oval rug and around the edges is the tile and we have a dog and this is just perfect for this area. We also use this for the small area of wood flooring we have, its just ideal.

I have no complaints. Works exactly how you would expect it. Super light weight. I use this to "vacuum" the bathroom & kitchen floors which are ceramic tile & laminate then take it out of the stick to get in the corners and under the cabinets.

I got this in the Bissell bundle with a carpet cleaner I needed for my new puppy and it is a great little side kick for quick pick ups prior to deep cleaning the carpet.

If you want something with no suction, made of cheap plastic and has absolutely no suction then you are looking at the right product.
If you want something that works the way it's advertised then buy something else because this is a horrible product. I like things clean, not skimmed over.
Cheap and worthless and it got one star because you have to choose something. Does not even rate high enough for a star at all.

The price was great as it was free. It came as a bonus with our Bissell power cleaner. We were disappointed that it didn’t have a power rotating brush, but it still works great for sweeping our stairs. It’s light weight and has a cord, which we like, as it always has full power unlike our dust buster which is always losing its suction as it loses its charge.

This little thing is great. I have 3 cats, 2 very thick coated dogs who shed tumbleweeds by the minute, 2 kids and a soldier. We track dirt like crazy and there are constantly hairballs rolling through. I bought this little thing just hoping to get a handle over the broom method... which is not my favorite. The Dirt Devil does great on my hardwoods, tile and laminate. I even run it over the furniture and the entry rugs. I have to empty it about 2 times per room, but I think its a work load issue, not a design issue. The ability to turn it into hand held is great for getting the shelves, sills, and in the cushions. It could be better by having a larger intake tunnel, but it does great with litter, food, dirt, and hair. Maybe it shouldn't be bigger. It would probably suck up too many toys.

I bought this for my bedrooms. I needed something light and easy to use. My daughter has allergies to dust, so it was important that she too can use it. I have commercial rugs and the vaccum picks up everything!! I don't think it would be strong enough for thicker rugs. Very happy with purchase!!

Love this little vacuum. It's super lightweight and really picks the dirt and pet hair up easily. Don't recommend this for carpets though but great on wood and ceramic floors.

I purchased this after I got laminate flooring. It picks up the dirt, dust and pet hair wonderfully. No dirt or dust blows out the side either. Very light-weight, my 4 yr old granddaughter can handle this vacuum with ease to help Grandma! It also works pretty good on a low pile carpet to pickup dirt and debris which was a nice surprise. I wouldn't use it as my 'carpet' vacuum, but for a quick pickup while doing the floors, it's great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by janan I use this on our covered patio where our dog hangs out. It is great for picking up the dog hair. It is very lightweight and I just keep it behind one of the chairs. It doesn't have a brush, but I only wanted it for the painted concrete. Very convenient.

Small vacuum but works awesome. I have a small area rug that I vacuum everyday. And I also take the cushions off the couch and vacuum in the couch and it works perfect! Its s must have!!

Works great on wood floor and can clean corners and tight spot. Also light so you can clean ceiling. Not so good with carpet the suction power is too weak.

I did some shopping around, looked at all the reviews and this one had the most consistent positive reviews. I am very happy with my purchase. When I used it the first time, I was a bit of a skeptic. But it actually did a very good job. Most of the reviews were about hard floor surfaces. My only hard floor is my bathroom. I tried it first on my low pile carpet and worked very well. Sucked up things I couldn't imagine others picking up. I have used it on my computer keyboard, shelves, drawers... And it worked flawlessly.

When my other stick broom mysteriously "walked" out of my house, I needed another one, but didn't want to shell out a lot of money. I must say I am pleasantly surprised by how powerful the dirt devil stick has, and how long the cord is ! I don't have to unplug it to vacuum/sweep my kitchen, bathroom, and dining room! Thats a plus to me! Great stick vac!

Two things: this isn't for homes in which most floors are carpeted, and it isn't meant to replace a heavy-duty vacuum; but if you have mostly hardwood, tile, vinyl, etc., this is a great little machine. First, it does not blow around what you're trying to vacuum, forcing you to chase dog hair/dust bunnies/dirt, etc. Second, it's the first light-weight vacuum that actually fits into the spaces on either side of the toilet, making it possible for me to vacuum those areas without putting a special tool on the special hose that goes on my large vac. I've been through several small vacs, sending each to Goodwill, one by one, as I figure out what's wrong (blowing dirt around, and inconvenient, complex filter systems difficult to clean and more difficult to find replacements), but this one is definitely a keeper. The filter is a basic filter that requires no washing -- I just shake it out outside and gently whack on the deck railing to free it of dust. And there WILL be lots of dust and gunk because this little marvel picks up stuff I didn't know was on my floor. So, for something so inexpensive that weighs practically nothing, this is a little miracle. Another thing I love -- I don't have to bend down to wrap the cord onto cord holder. I hold the vac in one hand and wrap with the other.
