In a highly contested matchup of two undefeated teams, the Boise State Broncos pulled out all the stops in beating TCU to win the 2010 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. Doug Martin's two-yard touchdown run proved to be the deciding score as the Broncos topped the Horned Frogs 17-10. The score was set up when Boise State punter Kyle Brotzman completed a pass off a faked punt to tight end Kyle Efaw for a 29-yard gain on 4th and long deep in Bronco territory to keep the game-winning drive alive. TCU entered the contest with one of the top-ranked defenses in the nation, and held Boise State's high-powered offense in check for most of the night. Boise State countered by pressuring TCU quarterback Andy Dalton and forcing three interceptions, including Brandyn Thompson's 51-yard interception return for a touchdown that gave the Broncos a 7-0 first-quarter lead. With the defenses controling much of the tempo, Boise State coach Chris Peterson decided to take a chance on his own end of the field with the fake punt. "I think that's what they expect out of us, so we're happy to deliver," said Petersen of Boise State's reputation for trick plays. The win meant a perfect 14-0 season for Boise State, who along with Alabama in 2010 and Ohio State in 2002, are the only schools to post that many victories in the sport's history. The 2010 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl marked the first time two schools from conferences without automatic BCS bids have met in a BCS bowl. The "Official FOX Sports Tostitos Fiesta Bowl" DVD includes the commercial-free game broadcast as well as special bonus features. It is a great addition to any Boise State fan's collection.
