About this item

This heart-pounding, fat-burning workout consists of one intense 25-minute interval routine and two 10-minute programs that work your upper and lower body. Starting with a warm-up program, you have the option of three challenging "last chance" workouts that melt away pounds and sculpt targeted muscle groups, and then you can reward your body with a relaxing cooldown. These workouts can be alternated daily or combined to get a more extensive routine. "Last Chance Workout Program": "Warm-Up" (5 minutes): Enhance your agility and strength and increase blood flow with moves that prepare your body and mind for a challenging workout. "Last Chance Workout" (25 minutes): Get your sweat on with fat- blasting circuits that integrate bursts of cardio with slimming strength moves. "Upper Body Sculpt" (10 minutes): Super-sculpt your arms, shoulders, chest, back and belly with signature moves that crush mega calories and carve lean muscle. "Lower Body Tone" (10 minutes): Demolish fat and transform your body with dynamic "Last Chance" exercises that blast the legs, butt, hips and waistline. "Cooldown" (5 minutes): Lower your heart rate and reward your body with essential stretches designed to prevent injury and improve flexibility.

New year new goal, I started this work out on Jan.1st its awesome. Even my husband who's army is doing it with me , and says its a great work out. Its day seven and we've lost almost 11 lbs each. Definitely take the one day off but you also might want to start your own ab work out week 2 once you get use to the work outs.

Jillian Michaels is the only trainer on this video. It has a "Last Chance Workout" session, as well as Upper body, Lower body workout sessions. The Last Chance Workout is a series of circuit training that combines some type of high impact aerobics immediately followed by lifting free weights, pushups, or a boxing move. Of course, Jillian always finds a way to include your core in almost every exercise. I definately sweated. The only thing I can see as a draw back would be if someone could not do high impact workouts. Liz from season 9 is on there showing you a low impact version, but that still won't help tough pushups.

  • Not really, They do use weights, but you can do it for starters without, just do the movements or could hold something else you have in your house, water bottle, soda bottle, or similar.

  • It helps to have dumbells, because it will add some dynamic to the workout. Some sections rely on the dumbells, like the upper body tone section.

  • Yes you need dumb bells 5lbs is best to start out with, and a yoga mat is helpful if you don't have carpet or else your hands and knees will hurt. and if you don't have weight get two cans same size and use them.

  • If you want a more intense work out you should use weights. They do use weights on the dvd. 3lbs and up. I work out alot and I stick with the 3lbs because I want to make my workout more difficult but I do not want to bulk up. You burn more calories using the weights
