This is the most awesome blender/chopper I've ever owned! It, to my surprise, does exactly as the infomercial states. It can go from making actual snow to chopping without mushing, unless, that's what you want it to do. It's all in your control. And what a powerful motor! Just remember pulsing, NOT continuous running, is the key! Smoothies?...the best! I've consumed more fresh fruit in the last couple of months than I have in a year...and frozen drinks are without rival! Frozen daiquiri or margarita anyone? I thought the MagicBullet (given to me as a gift) was the best thing to hit the market, boy was I wrong. It is stored in my cupboard and my Ninja (purchased on my own) now sits on my counter within easy reach at a moment's notice! Walmart's pricing is the best! Ever price this thing on the official site? Or shop for it on Ebay? Go ahead and try and you'll be blown away by Walmart's price! Way to go Walmart, thanks! Second guessing a purchase? Well stop and go get one right now, you'll be amazed!

I was very doubtful that this thing could really make snow but boy was I wrong. My wife and I love boba iced teas and lately have been making it ourselves. For the past few weeks have been shaving the ice manually with my moms old school ice shaver. This manual ice shaver needs you to put lots of muscle behind in order to get some shaved ice. Also you either had to spend some money to buy an ice block or you would need to make and store your owe ice block. Everyone listen, this machine makes SNOW!!! Not ice chips, not ice broken up into somewhat small pieces, the Ninja makes SNOW. Snow like the expensive ice shaving machines do. The Ninja is a snow making machine, even with the wedge shaped ice cubes which are the hardest to break apart to make snow. Thumbs up for this machine.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for a newly married couple. Unfortunately, company lay-offs caused them to be hard up for cash just before Christmas. They requested cash gifts only. I abliged, to my good fortune. This appliance is AWESOME. Traditional blenders will be a thing of folklore once the patent on this thing runs out. It's the ONLY way to blend. I've seen double sets of blades on blenders before, but they seem to get recalled for safety reasons before they reach stores. Putting the motor on top was sheer GENIUS. It does everything it says and more. Two sets of VERY SHARP blades in a container without silly leaky seals in the bottom are the only way to go. THE SNOW THING IS TRUE. You can make snow cones in about 10 seconds. Frozen drinks in 20, with no chunks of ice remaining (my old blender, a top of the line Cuisinart, leaves large chunks of ice, even after a full minute...and gets so much air whipped into the mix that you have to open and stir repeatedly.) I had some leftover ham after Christmas. Normally, I make ham salad using my food processor. The Ninja did the same job faster and mixed everything much more evenly. Years from now when the patent runs out, EVERY MANUFACTURER WILL BE MAKING THEM.

I made a review, I believe on the 19th which i would like to erase but this site will not let me.You can not compare this item with the Magic Bullet as they did on the commercial. That being said, I love this product. It works faster and better than any blender and chopper on the market. The clean up is exactly the same as all of my similar appliances. since I bought this I will be getting rid or 3 appliances. thats 3 less appliances I have to stuff in my baking area which is full to the max.

I bought this about a month ago as a replacement for my Ultimate Chopper which recently died (the Ultimate Chopper had such a small reservoir, it was not used for bigger jobs). The Ninja is a superb blender, chopper, mixer. I used it to chop a solid unsweetened chocolate square, and it did great, even better than the Ultimate Chopper I previously owned. I had the blender attachment on the Ultimate Chopper as well, and that thing was terrible for anything but blending liquids. If you wanted to blend any solids like frozen fruit, ice, it left various sized chunks no matter how long you ran it. The Ninja on the other hand pulverized ice and frozen fruit perfectly. The only flaw, and it's a design flaw. The tops (blender and chopper) that you put on the reservoirs/bases in order to start chopping/blending, has a deep and narrow area in the top of it, where pieces of whatever you are chopping or blending, get stuck, and you can only get them out with a brush, making clean-up difficult at times, but not any harder than the unit it replaced. I eventually returned the Ninja to WalMart, when I found it for the same price at Sam's club, but with a bonus, as it came with an extra chopping base and lid, so you get the blender base, and 2 chopping bases and lids for all 3.

Ninja, Versatile Kitchen Appliance

I love it, I bought 3. One for my house, my travel trailer and I"ll keep one at the grandkids house for when I visit. I have a very small kitchen, not much counter top or cabinet space. So all my appliances must be able to do multiple jobs well. The pleasant surprise was that the Ninja did everything the Info commercial said it would. My husband uses it also. He likes that he can make fresh ice cream in just a minute. The double blades do a very good job, the ice is very smooth, no extra chunks. I have a good blender but I'm thinking of getting rid of it now. The Ninja grinds from bottom to top in seconds, not like the my blender where I have to keep pushing things down to the bottom. And the clean up is way faster and easier then my blender. I've only had the Ninja for a few weeks. I'm not sure about the durability yet and I have more things I still want to try, but so far so good. Fast, easy and practical. I would highly recommend this product.

I have to admit It isn't a super appliance. With that said I love the ninja blender. Used with a little patience it is wonderful. It doesn't do everything, but what appliance does? Plenty of power and easier to clean than a regular blender/chopper. Just remember to pulse a few times and don't over fill it. Works Great

I saw a newer version of this on tv, and found this version in the store and decided to try it. By the way, at my store they had a really nice silver/grey one that I like more than the blue. I came home and immediately started using it. I made a frozen strawberry lemonade. It was awesome, the machine pulverized the ice in seconds. I didn't even have to stick a spoon in it to stir like with typical blenders. Be careful because the blades are VERY sharp. When I took it out of the box and washed it the blade cut through my dishcloth and cut me a little bit. Other than that minor setback, I love this machine and will use it everyday for my protein shakes. You should definitely give it a try.

I purchased my Ninja food processor after reading many reviews and was able to use it only twice. My initial impression was that I loved this appliance to make vegetable/fruit smoothies...until I went to make one and the parts in both the motor and the blade that fit together to spin the blade were stripped. The motor sounded good but the blades would not turn. I did call the cust. serv # on the box and they said they would ship the broken parts in 2-4 weeks. Not happy with the wait but at least they were helpful and polite. Just doesn't seem right that after only 2 uses I need to replace parts.....

I read all the reviews after trying to find a blender that would chop ice well enough to create a nice thick protein shake. My husband & I must drink at least one a day, & a runny shake is just not as good as a thick one. This product is wonderful!!!! Crushes ice & mixes ingredients so well; I could not ask for more! My husband was doubtful until he tried it, then said, "Well, that sure beats the blender we've been using" (which advertised how well it supposedly crushed ice-yeah, right!)!!! Buy one now, you will not regret it!

This it a good BLENDER! This product can not be compared to the Magic Bullet at all. There are so many things the Bullet can do and do very well that the Ninja BLENDER can't do. After buying the bullet I stopped needing many appliances. the only reason I bought the ninja is because I thought from the commercial it was better that the bullet. All in all it is a very good Blender/chopper.

I have read several reviews trying to find the best blender for a decent price didn't want to pay over 50, I saw this at walmart and it said it could crush ice which is what I will be mostly using it for, and OMG it did!!!!!! I am so glad that I didn't go with a regular blender I was sceptical when reading the box of the ninja I really didn't think it would do what it said but I was wrong it is the first product I have bought that works exactly as it says!! Can't wait to make all the margaritas and snow cones I would definately recommend this to everyone. I thought I was going to have to buy a more expensive blender to get what I needed but this works great and is priced decent. OH and I forgot to mention that is chops onion and tomato with out a great big mess! I AM SO HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT!!!

My Oster pitcher broke and the replacement is close to half the cost of this. I was never very happy with the crushed/snow ice feature. Will it replace my Osterizer? I still have a Little Oscar for small jobs like cracker crumbs for meatloaf, etc...

  • A. I would guess it could. We have been very happy with the blender part of this machine (and the chopper part)...it blends completely and seems quite powerful enough to handle ice. Although the instructions do say to put in 1 cup at a time. So far, the Ninja has outdone our blender that we had by a longshot! We don't have the blender anymore.

  • A. I own two blenders, one a very expensive gourmet brand sold in higher end stores, and yes the Ninja replaced them perfectly! However, let me remind you, the Ninja works best when you at least initially PULSE IT! Many of the respondents fail to do this and have experienced less than desired results! The blades are extremely fast, pulsing is a simple tap, not a hold. Once you get the knack, you'll never use that blender again, for anything!

  • A. Yes! I make purees for my pastry baking--I steam the fruits and veggies gently and then process. As your baby gets bigger and can eat a few chunky things you just process less--I make a chunky veg. stew for my kids that are grown that they use as a meal with french bread or as a spread and it would be a geat baby food.
