Movie Description

The following content was provided by the publisher.

The year is 2018. Judgment Day has come and gone, leveling modern civilization. An army of Terminators roams the post-apocalyptic landscape, killing or collecting humans where they hide in the desolate cities and deserts. But small groups of survivors have organized into a Resistance, hiding in underground bunkers and striking when they can against an enemy force that vastly outnumbers them. Controlling the Terminators is the artificial intelligence network Skynet, which became self-aware 14 years earlier and, in the blink of an eye, turned on its creators, unleashing nuclear annihilation on an unsuspecting world. Only one man saw Judgment Day coming. One man, whose destiny has always been intertwined with the fate of human existence: John Connor(Christian Bale). Now the world is on the brink of the future that Connor has been warned about all his life. But something totally new has shaken his belief that humanity stands a chance of winning this war: the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger from the past whose last memory is of being on Death Row before awakening in this strange, new world. Connor must decide whether Marcus can be trusted, but as Skynet adapts new strategies to end the Resistance forever, Connor and Marcus must find common ground to take a stand against the onslaught to infiltrate Skynet and meet the enemy head-on.

It's just...... Missing something Don't get me wrong the movie is not terrible... But it doesn't feel like a Terminator film. The awesome robots are there but there's not much emotion. I did not feel a connection with one character. Not even John Connor. The graphics where very very nice.. But that couldn't even save this movie or put it in a status where you could say.. "Wow Terminator is BACK!" I was fine with the idea of not bringing Arnold back (Which he kinda does show up). But make a character that will take that place and put some excitement back into this film. You had Kyle Reese and Sarah Connor who where a great supporting cast in the first one... You had again Sarah Connor a great returning character with a totally different tone in T2. Also an amazing villian, the T-1000. T3 was....eh. But this was just different... I guess if this was your first Terminator film.. Then it would be ok.. But for some of the previous films fans... Not that close. I understand they were trying to make it different.. In a way. But where is the excitement? Overall... some good action scenes.... Story is a little dry.... acting was ok... There was no colorful characters that can make you enjoy the film... Graphics were GREAT. The movie sort of felt 'Gray'.. and 'Dull'... compared to T1 and T2.. And it's too bad... because all the flash forward scenes we saw in the first 3 films. About the robots raging war on the human race got us hyped up and psyched, has finally come but it wasn't that much of a bang.. Just a dud... atleast for me... I recommended this product for the new comers to the Terminator franchise... True fans may not like it... And also it's Terminator... Terminator is such a wonderful word..... 11/30/2009
once was more than enough it kept my interest on the first viewing but not sure I would rewatch this movie . good story line and fine special effects 12/24/2009
War against the machines... I remember I was disappointed when I first watched this in theaters because I expected to see a huge battle scene between the Resistance and Skynet. But then I bought it for $1 at Blockbuster when they were closing and watched it a couple times more, and found myself liking it eventually. Sam Worthington is a great new actor. Christian Bale makes an awesome John Connor. I wish they could have gotten Arnold in this film, but the CG-Arnold will do. This sequel may not be for everyone, but I'd recommend it anyways to any Terminator fans 12/28/2010
This movie was terrible. Yes, Terminators are cool. The coolness of the machines does not trump the "stink" factor for the rest of the film.Bale seems to only be cast in roles that focus on his ability to brood and grunt. This film solidified that opinion for me. I know the future is bleak but come on! I could hardly understand the dialog because Bale grunts out his lines.I did not relate to any of the characters. The movie seemed to have zero character development except for the cyborg guy but the story was so weak, I didn't even care about him.Personally, I rooted for Skynet to wipe the human characters movie off the face of the planet. Can a movie tied in with a 30(ish) year old multi-million dollar sci-fi franchise stink, even if it's based on scary shiny robots?Yes. Yes it can. 07/20/2010
