I'm afraid if I do chest flies or dumbbell press the clips are going to slide off and the weight is going to hit me in the face...they're really cheap..I'm thinking of buying 3 sets..$60 for 3 rather than $120..usually dumbbells cost about $20 each sometimes more depending on the weight..
    by hellooooooooooooooo
    • I just purchased a set of the dumbells and only had 10 lbs on each side and one of the clamps slid off and two weights dropped on my foot. (not wearing shoes) needless to say they will be going back tomorrow. Just be careful and make sure you can't pull the clips off.

    • I do it all the time and I dont have a problem with this. We use the weights daily and two people use them. I use them in the mornings and my husband uses them at night. The clips are very sturdy.

    • there is no threat of the clamps they are well designed. And takes all my energy with my thumb and fingers to get them loose.

    • I use these to do floor tricep extensions with thirty pounds on each bar and haven't smashed my face yet. Yeah, the clips hold. I know the price is scary cheap.

    • I was skeptical about the price as well, but let me assure you, they are 100% sturdy. I was even surprised that they were such a high quality for the price. The clips are stiff and firm and the weights themselves stay in place, I haven't had any issues with sliding/loosening/shaking. Save 40 bucks and get them, you wont be dissappointed!

    • The clips hold and I've had no problem with them sliding. I do chest fly and they work fine. for the money it fine.

    • the clips are sturdy. In fact one of the exercises that I do is to bring the weights right over my head as I'm lying on my back on the floor. I have not had any concerns about about the clip slipping (or worse) when using the weights this way. I hope this info helps.

    • Yes. Great for strengthening wrists/forearms! Highly neglected! You can put 2 weights max on each side. Putting more on one side than another could be used for forearm pronation/supination that is palm up/down or wrist side to side rotation(in thumb/little finger direction) exercises. Be careful of slippage of clips. Could use duct tape to reduce slippage. 1. Hammer grip(wrist vertical), lift weight up towards thumb with wrist. 2. Rotate forearm from palm down to palm up. Don't forget both directions, muscles are intended to move joints in opposing ways moving bones together/apart. Bicep curl & tricep extension are opposing each other closing or opening up the elbow joint.

    • Yeah u can mix and match whatever u want with 7.5 and 2.5 increments. Idk y u would want to though. Max weight is 30 lbs as only four 7.5-ers can fit on the bar

    • No ,just the weights that come with it but you can always buy other heavy weights and just use the bar and clamps to support them.

    • Yes. They come as four 7.5 pound weights and four 2.5 weights. They use the squeeze together clips and the bars are long enough to arrange the weight in any configuration you choose.

    • Yes, I generally keep one bar at 15 lbs. and the other at 10 lbs., so that I can switch based on which exercise I am doing.

    • This set comes with 2 rods and 4 clamps the clamps are very sturdy and go on one way so that when you pinch the clamps they stick to the outside and have four coils that aloow for the maximum hold o the weights. Even dropping them will not jar the weights loose. The clamps are good and tight and hold with all four spring coils.
