A Good Starting Point... My husband and I purchased this audiobook to pass time during a long road trip. The thing about audiobooks is they can either engage your interest or put you to sleep, depending on content and/or presentation. We found this book captivating in both areas.Mr Beck laid out a comprhensive historical accounting of how we (as a nation) have come to be where we are. We were surprised to note that he was disinclined to point a finger at any ONE party, but rather at BOTH.While we did not agree with everything he said, it gave us great food for thought and generated a desire to learn more.Truthfully, I believe that was its intent. 08/12/2009

A must have for anyone who is upset about the way things are going in this country. Liberal, conservative, somewhere in between or none of the above, Glenn explains how we got into this mess. This is not an Obama or even Bush caused problem. It goes back to the Progressive movement with Teddy Roosevelt being one of the leaders of this movement. Even Hillary stated she preferred being called Progressive to Liberal. But this needs to be stopped. Watch Glenn on Fox News. 07/26/2009
