Rated 4 out of 5 by Clint11 Green tomatoes had an interesting screen play. Tomatoes was too long for the basic subject at hand and had several contrived sub-plots. Several of the subplots were time worn and frayed at the edges. Some of the subplots were gimmicks to mainatain interest in this overly long and somewhat campy movie. There seemed to be much death/injury in the film. Men were portrayed as evil, selfish and stupid while the women were shown to be loving, caring, sensitive, beautiful, and special. Jessica was good in her role while Kathy seemed a bit misplaced. Mostly the acting was good the movie itself was good to above average. I base this on the adaptation and well thought out screen play. The writer deserves muchpraise. 02/21/2013
