Good read Excellent reading for those who aspire to be great leaders! 05/09/2011
Leadership Advice - Understandable, Actionable, Rarely has a book about leadership been written in such a way that people on all levels can take away truly "actionable" thoughts from which they can make meaningful changes in their own lives as leaders. The concepts clearly set out by John Bryant have universal appeal, whether the reader is an entry-level employee or a senior executive, whether leading in business or leading in the community.Mr. Bryant does not preach the five fundamental laws of “love leadership”. Rather, he explains them by using readily understandable and captivating examples, presented in a very readable manner. This is not a boring or theoretical text book; it is a collection of actual, interesting stories which illustrate each point. And once you start this book, it is hard to put it down!As you turn the pages, it is hard not to think about how you've led in the past and (more importantly) can improve immediately, and also about other leaders with whom you've worked in the past. There is not a doubt in my mind that Mr. Bryant’s thoughts on what is more effective and what is less effective is completely consistent with my experiences in over 25 years of working. I intend to give copies of this book to my entire team at work as a practical/meaningful holiday gift this year.Having led young people throughout my career, I think that Love Leadership should be "required reading" for all graduating students, whether from college or high school, as it's certainly easier to mold a leadership style in formation than changing an established one.John Bryant has done a masterful job with this book. It's hard to imagine who wouldn't benefit from reading this wonderful book....twice (at least). 10/23/2009
