Review by Library Journal (2009-09-15)

In 2007, O'Dea made a New Year's resolution to use her slow cooker every day and write about it on her biog, crock pot365. blogspot. com, which receives 15,000 visitors daily. Now, her first cookbook collects 300 of those recipes, spanning beverages to meatless mains to desserts. Instructions are simple enough for most inexperienced cooks to follow. And because one of O'Dea's daughters has a wheat allergy, the recipes are gluten-free. Sure to make cooks wonder if there is anything that can't be made in a slow cooker!

Rated 5 out of 5★ by 4reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Very BEST Ever Cookbook This cookbook wins the Olympic Gold medal for best book EVER! I'm in my 50s now and sure wish I had this book when I had 7 kids at home, a hard working husband and I was pursuing school/career myself!NOT your usual "stew" slowcooker book. I have cooked almost all receipes to take to potluck suppers, splashy dinner parties and yummy intimate encounters (widowed now; dating again) and each one is excellent. Her website/blog is a great companion. I now give this book to all the young marrieds I know. The brie cheese recipe is almost too decadent to describe-be prepared to NOT want to share! Try it-you will not be disappointed. By the way I am not related, know or even met the author-it's just a FABULOUS book! I now own 6 slow cookers! 12/18/2009
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Delicious GF Cookbook I was thrilled to find the Gluten-Free Crockpot Cookbook that everyone in my celiac disease support group was raving about! I'd visited the author's blog a few times & I was still really impressed with this cookbook. I do not like to cook, but there is a variety of recipes--some simple that i can make on my own & some more complicated ones that my mom or my husband can help me with. Overall, this book is great & has a lot of wonderful recipes that I can't wait to make! 12/24/2009
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Great Crockpot Cooking This is THE best collection of recipes for the crock pot. (I have the old style crockpot) The stuffing for Thanksgiving is great and you have to try the turkey meatballs--wonderful. I am also celiac so if you have to avoid gluten, these recipes are written for you. If you are not celiac, you can use them anyway. I am working my way through the chicken recipes. My husband is pleased with everything so far. 01/29/2010
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Great for cooking in the crock pot! A great selection of recipes for crock pot cooking!!! Most ingredients you already have and easy instructions!! 01/01/2012
