Rated 5 out of 5★ by Maylaur The Heroin Diaries was incredible! From his day to day living with drugs to insights into how he kicked them, Nikki Sixx bared his soul in The Heroin Diaries. This book is an amazing look into the life of Nikki Sixx during the 80s, when drugs were all the rage among the stars. His diary entries while high on drugs show a whole new side to what we knew of the Motley Crue drug phase. The battle he waged against (and lost to) drugs during that time was so hard to read about, because it made you feel like you were there, feeling it with him. This book made me laugh at times, cry other times, and made me want to go back in time to try to help him the whole time. It was an emotional roller coaster just reading. I can't imagine what it must have been like for him to live it. 05/29/2011

Rated 4 out of 5★ by mandyrc Wasnt what we thought The book is bits and pieces of his journal. We knew that, but thought it would be wrote into a story line. Instead its as if we picked up his diary and read it. Still interesting though. 05/11/2011
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Celticpath Awesome book! Definitely worth buying and reading! I've been a fan of Motley Crue since the 1980's, and knew that the band had a "typical" rock and roll lifestyle. But until I read this book, I never knew the demons that Nikki was dealing with all these years. This look into his life was a real eye-opener to the kind of person Nikki was when he was on drugs, and the person he became when he kicked the addictions. It really shows how little fans actually know about their favorite celebrity sometimes. This book made me appreciate Nikki even more. He has really turned his life around.I would recommend this book to anyone who is trying to deal with any kind of addiction, whether it is drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or whatever. In my opinion, this shows me that if Nikki can beat his addiction, anyone can.I've been told that this book is placed in drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers as a requirement for part of the treatment. Which I think is a wonderful idea. I've seen countless people post comments on Nikki's Facebook page where people have talked about how much this book has changed their lives for the better. And has helped them with kicking their drug and alcohol addictions.Despite the graphic language in the book, I would recommend this book to anyone (whether they've ever been on drugs or alcohol or not). This book, and Nikki Sixx are both very inspiring. :) 06/23/2012

Rated 5 out of 5 Really Quick Read I bought this book for my boyfriend for Christmas. He read it in two days so I decided to read it and it was a really cool book to read. I'm not even that into Motley Crue and I still liked it. The layout is really cool. Since it's a diary they made each page with different colors and little drawings and lost lyrics that Nikki Sixx wrote in the throes of heroin addiction. Really cool book. 01/06/2009
