There were a few quality issues . The Bridge side rails were warped to the point that the train pieces would not pass through and would get stuck and caused some frustration with play at this area of the table. The table also had some warpage that caused a high low mismatch that would not allow the track to lay flat or connect correctly. We ended up taking the track down and played on the road grid on the flat. if these flaws did not exist it would be perfect. the height of the table is perfect for our two year old grandson. Also would have liked to see more detail of the people not just a silouhette. All this said it is stilla great play station.

I have 4 and a half and 1 and a half year old sons. Needed a train table to hold all their trains, but had a small space to put one. This fits the bill perfect. Was shipped so fast and took me about a half hour to assemble myself. A couple of tracks don't fit together perfectly, but with some shimmying, i made it happen. Our battery operated Thomas trains work well on this track except when they reach the junctions, they can't figure how to follow left or right so they just derail. Sometimes this frustrates the boys and sometimes they think it's hilarious. One of the mountain tunnels is so long if you only put one train inside, it will be lost. I tried to teach them to connect three or four trains together so it's easy to push in and pull out, but to no avail, so i took half of the mountain off. This set only comes with a few trains, so if this is a starter set you'll need to purchase more trains and cars. The crane is the biggest hit so far!

Wrong Product and Poor Design of Tracks

I ordered the Mountain train set with table and received the city train set. The table is wonderful, and a great height for the 3 and 6 year old children. The tracks of the train set are poorly designed and it's almost impossible to keep them linked together while the kids are playing with it. Especially the parts of the tracks that are elevated. The kids love it as long as the tracks are constantly maintained by the adults in the room.

I purchased this train table for my 3yr old son. This is the second train table that i've purchased for him. The first one I bought at T.R.U. and it was huge, complicated to put together and I ended up returning it because it was missing 8 random pieces. I ordered this table on a Monday and paid $2.97 to have it by the end of the week. It was delivered on Wednesday of the same week! The instructions are clear and it took me about 30ish minutes to assemble (very easy). The table looks great assembled no scratches, broken or missing pieces and it's the perfect size for my 2 bedroom apartment. I highly recommend this table for anyone who has a train lover.

    • A. We do not recommend that you permanently attach the track to the table tops. It will void any warranty that comes with the table/trainset. Also will permanently damage the table tops and you will not be able to reconfigure the train set or make any changes (additions) to the train set.

    • A. Tracks are poorly designed and do not stay connected especially at the elevated parts of the layout. They do not stay together without a great deal of care.

    • A. it could - however you will not have the option to turn the table top over and use the "city" side. My grandson like to change the set up and you can purchase more track to make it even more awesome!

    • A. It could, but it is not made to be. You would have to come up with a way to afix the track to the table via glue, or countersunk bolt/nut combo to attach it. You could glue each tracks "tab and blank" on the track where they connect.

    • A. You could glue it down - but based on the set, I'm not sure that you'd want to. The train doesn't really match the wooden table. It could be used as a base for playing with cars and other toys even without the train.

    • A. No because you can pop the table out and flip the table top around to the graphics or to the side that is just green, so they can do puzzles or play cars. You can permanently glue them down put you will not be able to flip the top over for other activities.
